Kate Sylvester skivvy (similar), Lover drifter mini skirt, Proenza Schouler PS11 satchel
As I find myself heading towards the end of my capsule wardrobe journey as I currently know it – and more on this in a later post – I’ve been thinking a lot about my initial motivations, and hesitations, to capsules and minimal wardrobes in general. One thing that always seemed completely foreign to me? Outfit repeating.
I’d rarely wear the same outfit twice, coming up with new, and mostly unusual, ways to wear something, that didn’t feel tired or stale. Things have definitely changed.
These days, I’m a serial outfit repeater, and I don’t think I’d have it any other way. My current favourite look? This lightweight black skivvy from Kate Sylvester paired with an a-line skirt from Lover; it’s smart enough to work for the office yet easy enough for the weekends too, which means this has been a go-to on those ‘I have nothing to wear days’, of which there’s admittedly been a few lately. And I get the feeling that this is going to be one of those outfits that I reach for all winter long, adding a pair of black tights and some high heeled boots, plus an oversized coat for good measure.
I feel like I’m going to get that way soon too. I do already have my uniform of sweater + jeans but I really need to get rid of a lot of dead weight in my closet, just can never bring myself to do it.

Haha Meg you’re such a hoarder sometimes! It’s such a cathartic experience when you finally do start to part with some of the dead weight in your closet 🙂
I don’t want to tempt you, but the Acne Loma boot would be insanely perfect with this outfit 😉 Steph x
