It’s late on a Tuesday night, and we’ve just wrapped up watching the season 2 finale of Westworld, but I wanted to take a moment to quickly share a winter wardrobe lookbook, which went live on my YouTube channel last week. I’ve never entirely loved winter style; growing up in Wellington, a woollen coat and a pair of opaque tights formed a huge part of my winter wardrobe, but it often seeped into my spring and summer wardrobe too when the wind chill was particularly fierce. I suppose it’s a big part of the reason why I’ve always enjoyed spring and summer dressing so much.
This year is probably the first year where I’ve felt like I finally have a handle on what I want my winter wardrobe to look like. I made a point of taking my time with some key winter wardrobe essentials – like my navy wool coat from Stella McCartney, and my white knit sweater from Joseph – which have quickly proven to be major mainstays in my wardrobe, and the quality so far seems to surpass anything else I own.
I’ve been wearing trousers more frequently, which I think is pretty well reflected in this seasonal edit, and I’ve really enjoyed how they pair so effortlessly with an oversized jumper. It’s a combination that’s started to become a go-to winter uniform of sorts for me.
Below in the carousel you’ll see that I’ve linked to a number of the items that feature throughout the video, but for the full outfit run down, be sure to check out the description box over on my channel; it’s available HERE if you’re interested. I’d love to know which look is your favourite in the comments below – mine definitely has to be the more tonal outfits; gotta love a little navy number head to toe! x
