A classic white shirt, with my favourite blue jeans of the moment. It doesn’t get more simple and pared back than that. But it’s one of those style combinations which just works, and that you can easily stamp your mark on. The shirt, from Moia, has this unique wrap detail so that you can fasten the shirt to create more of an open neckline. Or, if you prefer a simple button down, then wear it the traditional way. Tucked in, or loose.
Wearing Moia white shirt (10% off with code “mademoiselle10”); Witchery jeans (old but similar here); About Arianne Mina pumps; Chloe tote bag; Rosefield watch
The jeans have been a pair I’ve reached for often. They’re quite effortless, and the shift to a straighter silhouette through the leg has felt quite fresh. Especially for someone who has spent more than two decades in her beloved skinny jeans (which aren’t going anywhere, for those curious). The hem is distressed, which won’t be for everyone, but I like it. I can easily alter the length for a personalised fit with a pair of scissors. Tailoring is key to getting clothes to work for you, but the life of a mum doesn’t always leave time aside to get to one IYKWIM.
Sticking with my three colour rule, I went for black accessories. It’s a little matchy-matchy, but it’s classic and something that will almost never do you wrong. Both are newer additions to my closet, but feel like old favourites given their timeless appeal.
You look great AND comfortable, a winning combo!
Interesting that you mentioned your 3 color rule. I think I may be doing that instinctively, but will pay more attention now, just for fun.
