My process for getting dressed each morning typically centres around an idea of what I want to wear. It could be a style, a silhouette, or a specific piece. This outfit, which I wore the other week, very much encapsulated that. It was c-o-l-d, but after what felt like a long stretch of only wearing jeans and trousers, I really wanted to throw on a skirt. I know I keep saying this but, wear the clothes.
S’ Max Mara roll neck sweater (worn in size M); Bec & Bridge slip skirt (old but similar here); Vaneli two tone pumps (size US9 and also available here); Louis Vuitton neverfull bag; Reliquia earrings
I personally love how a slip skirt makes me feel. Elegant, and refined, even when paired with a slouchy knit sweater. You can probably tell I leaned into those feelings and the vibe of the skirt with my shoes. Feminine, and a nice neutral that naturally seems to blend in with the rest of the outfit.
My tonal kick is yet to wear off, so I went for brown tones with my tote, too. Being a much darker colour, it doesn’t feel lost at all, though it’s not quite a statement either.
The only major beauty note worth mentioning is my hair, which I’ve pulled back into a tidy ponytail. I tend to wear it down most days, but I really like the way a roll neck sweater looks without any hair getting “in the way”.
