While my wardrobe might not exactly look minimalist, it’s safe to say my style is minimalist at heart. Classic basics that can be worn time and again, paired with equally timeless accessories. Given how simple my day-to-day outfits are, I rely heavily on my accessories to help mix things up. Jewelry in particular, is one of my favourite ways to transform an outfit – but it often comes at eye-watering prices… or at least take up a huge chunk of your clothing budget for the season.
So today I wanted to share a closer look at a fine jewelry line I’ve been wearing over the last couple of weeks, which I promise, won’t break the bank. And it’s from on of my favourite go-to brands for affordable luxury: Linjer.

About Linjer’s jewelry collection
The inspiration behind Linjer’s new jewelry collection, was to create a line that was beautiful, well made, high quality, and that wouldn’t cost a fortune. Essentially, founders Roman and Jenn want to make luxury accessible, which is by no means an easy feat.
By working directly with manufacturers and selling straight to the consumer, Linjer are able to cut out the middle man… and the extra mark-up. This is what makes their pricing so accessible and inclusive. The line starts at $15 USD for a simple stacker ring, while the most expensive piece, a pair of thick huggies in gold vermeil with a detachable pearl charm, costs just $72 USD.
Each piece is handcrafted by artisans, and comes in either 925 sterling silver, or 14K gold vermeil, with ethically sourced stones and AAA freshwater pearls. The design and the craftsmanship is intended to last and endure, which speak to the core values of the brand.
What is gold vermeil?
If like me, you find it a little difficult to splurge on a solid gold jewelry piece, then gold vermeil is your best bet to get the same look for less. Gold vermeil jewelry pieces have silver or 925 silver as the base material, and are coated with a gold layer that is at least 10 karats and 2.5 microns thick. By contrast, gold-plated jewelry has a layer of gold that is anywhere from 0.5 to 2.5 microns thick, while flash-plated jewelry (what you’d typically find at fast fashion stores) has a layer of gold that is a mere 0.175 microns thick.
The best way to care for your gold vermeil pieces, is to put them on after applying makeup, perfume and sunscreen, and keep it away from liquids. If the piece dulls at all, you can bring back shine by wiping it gently with a soft polishing cloth.
My favourites from the collection
While I’ll happily mix metals from time to time, I’m a golden girl through and through. So naturally, I was most drawn to the gold vermeil pieces. My go-to jewelry combinations tend to be quite dainty. I dress minimally, and I generally like my accessories to reflect that as well. Because I can never pick just one, I thought I’d narrow it down to my top three.
Kirsten Pearl Huggies | I love versatility in my wardrobe, whether it’s a blouse that can be dressed up or down, or a pair of shoes that’ll take me from work to the weekend. Same thing goes with my accessories. With the Kirsten Pearl Huggies, you’re getting two for the price of one. You can wear them with the sweet freshwater pearl charm; elegant, refined and in my opinion, utterly timeless. Or you can remove the pearl charm and simply wear them as a simple every day huggie. I feel like there’s a few ways you could wear these – even asymmetrically if you like your jewelry to be unbalanced – and they’d be the perfect staple basic piece if you’ve got a couple piercings in each ear, too. My favourite pick of the bunch.
Siri Wrap Ring | There are a lot of clean lines in the collection, and what drew me to this piece was how unique the design feels. It’s simple and minimal, yet looks interesting when stacked with plain bands as they highlight how playful the ring’s silhouette is. I’ve worn this mostly as a statement ring on my index finger, but I love how it pairs with the Nina stacker ring.
Sigrid Bracelet | My final favourite has to be the Sigrid Bracelet. I opted for the rose quartz stone – a gem I’ve always associated with feelings of love and warmth – which has a subtle pale pink appearance. The chain is super fine and dainty, which makes this an elegant choice. Perfect for date night! I wore this mostly as a complement to my Linjer Petite Watch; the chain and the gem often peeping out from next to the watch face. Perhaps my favourite feature of the bracelet was the lariat hook closure. You could either wear it at the standard length, or you could attach the hook to the inner ‘eye’, and tighten this as you wish. I’ve included a photo above so you can get a closer look at how this works, but it’s perfect if you have similarly dainty wrists!

Thank you to Linjer for partnering with me on this post.
