Consider me influenced. After wearing skinny-legged everything for the past two decades, I’m finally exploring the wide leg trouser. This pair are from Tibi, a sale purchase I’d been mulling over for a few months. What I loved about them is that they’re not your standard relaxed wide leg trouser.
Wearing Uniqlo mens cashmere knit (size L); Tibi Stella pant (size US2); Andersons belt (size 70); Golden Goose sneakers (size EU40); Charles & Keith bag
The design has been specially engineered so that they sit either low on the hip, for an uber slouchy, relaxed feel. Or, you can hike them up and belt them for a paper bag trouser. The hook closure can be latched onto one of the belt loops to cinch the waist. Alternatively you could you the ankle ties (small D ring belts) to create a belt too. Options, see?
For me, it makes a nice departure from my usual skinny jean. Never one to stray to far from my favourite styling tricks, I went tonal to start with. Texture is always key to making that sort of outfit “pop”, and I love how the soft fuzzy cashmere looks against the sleek flecked wool. Keeping it casual I went with a white sneaker, but I think a black pointed or square-toed boot would also look chic. My bag adds that final point of interest with the tweedy element.
