On Sunday night I shared a snappy little reel with five workwear outfits. All neutral-toned, and with staples in my closet that I consider elevated basics. I’ll never forget my first proper office job, where I felt that my outfits had to fit squarely within a particular box. The fitted pencil skirt, slim shirt (tucked with the top two buttons undone), and matching blazer. Alternatively a pant suit or sheath dress sufficed. Dressing squarely for what I felt was expected of me, rather than interpreting the dress code and how I can carry over elements of my personal style into my workwear wardrobe. So, hopefully these outfits will give you a little bit of inspiration for the week ahead; the trick is finding one or two key styles which are uniquely you, and pairing it back with more traditional silhouettes.
