So this is big news. Arket is finally shipping to Australia. It’s a brand I was first introduced to by UK bloggers a couple years back, and have admired ever since for the simple take on minimalist basics, high quality materials, and ethical/sustainable practices. I’m hoping to place my first order at some point in the next few months as I’d love to get a sense of the quality – as well as share a brand review on my YT channel – but in the mean time, I thought I’d round up five core staples I currently have my eye on from the brand.
01 | Oversized Wool Hopsack Blazer
The first wardrobe essential from Arket which immediately grabbed my attention was their oversized wool blazers. I’ve seen a lot of girls sporting these, and I love just how effortless they are. To me, this is more of a relaxed option; not necessarily something I’d consider quite tailored enough to wear to the office (unless you belted it, perhaps?). It goes without saying that a blazer is a great wardrobe essential. Something like this would work as a cover up on a night out worn with a slinky mini dress. But it’s equally at home paired with matching trousers (and some sneakers, maybe…), or a t-shirt and denim combo. It’s pretty hard to come across a blazer that is 100% wool that doesn’t break the bank, and I feel like this one ticks all the right boxes. Top of my wishlist for sure.
02 | Arket Crew Neck T-Shirt
You really can’t beat a great basic tee, and I thought the price point on these classic crews from Arket wasn’t too bad. Plus it comes in loads of different colours. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect crew neck, so am keen to give this a road test to see how it fares. I personally love the ribbed trim around the collar. To me, this feels like an elevated detail for an otherwise timeless basic.
03 | Wool Flannel Trousers
It’s probably obvious where my head is right now: my autumn wardrobe. Trousers are one of the key silhouettes I identified as being a hero piece at the start of the year. Again, a nice wool pair that doesn’t break the bank can be hard to come by. I personally love the soft, brushed feeling of a wool flannel. It’s cosy, and adds a nice touch of texture to an outfit. This pair from Arket have a billowy silhouette, which is different for me. The tailoring is gorgeous; I particularly love the double pleat detail and pressed creases down the front.
04 | Down Puffer Trench Coat
Continuing with that autumnal theme, the Down Puffer Trench Coat looks like a substantial jacket option for the colder months. Most down jackets I’ve seen have been in that traditional puffer style. Zip up down the centre, pockets at the hips, and usually come with a huge hood attached. This has a great point of difference, being a play on a classic trench. I especially love the deep beige hue, and I think the belt at the waist helps to add some much needed shape. I like that it’s made from upcycled down, too.
05 | Square-Toe Leather Slingbacks
My fifth and final pick from Arket is a pair of shoes; these square toed leather slingbacks in a delicious brown croc embossed leather. This ties together a couple of current trends with a vintage silhouette; ultimately, somehow feeling very modern. I like that the vamp is square cut across the foot too. It’s a design detail you don’t see that often in shoes. The 5cm heel is enough to add a bit of height, while still being comfortable enough to walk around in. And again, these add an element of texture to an outfit.
I’d love to know if you’ve placed an order from Arket yet and if so, what your first impressions were! x
I love Arket! I think the quality is great, I can highly recommend the crew neck tee, which is a great staple in my wardrobe. Also, the quality of their childrens clothing is superb and my 4 year old have a lot of tees and sweaters from Arket in his closet.

This makes me even more excited to finally place an order (though I might wait until a couple months after baby is born). And good to know about the kids clothing too, thanks so much for the tip! 🙂
The brand looks really promising plus the collection looks very elegant and classic. Shipping to Australia is good news as such brands are required to give the domestic industry some competition.

Yes! I love their very simple/minimal styling 🙂
Who do they use? DHL?

They use UPS (or maybe it’s USPS – one of the two!) 🙂
