For my final 2019 wrap-up, I wanted to run through my beauty favourites; the stand out products I found best worked for my oily/combination but dehydrated complexion. Rather off-handedly, I mentioned a few times my efforts to do a bit of a “Project Use It Up” in 2019 – something I hope to continue this year. As someone who has the potential to receive so many new products, this was an important limitation for me to set in place to balance the number of beauty products entering my stash. The one place that I really noticed a difference? Skincare. More…
After setting my five simple style resolutions for 2020, I’ve decided to shape some additional frameworks around how I selectively shop, and also get ready for the day. The key here? To be intentional about it. Too often I’ve found myself caught up in the hype. Or, the temptation to suppress my anxiety has been so strong that an emotional shopping binge has clouded my judgement. So I thought today I’d chat a little about dressing with intention. Wearing Matteau tiered dress (affordable alternatives here and also here), Everlane wide strap sandals, Charles & Keith bag, Mejuri editor hoops, Muru…
Continuing on with my closet reflections, I wanted to share a recap of my most worn items in 2019. Meticulously tracking each wear has been a fascinating exercise – one I’m glad I returned to – and combined with pinpointing my favourite outfits of the year, it’s given me some major food for thought. Happy New Year everyone! I thought to kick off 2020 – not only a new year, but a new decade, I’d share some simple style resolutions that have been playing on my mind of late. I’ve said before that I’m not usually one for resolutions. Instead, I prefer to work towards goals that can’t be quantified, however, I’ve found this a useful tool in informing my habits and my style for the year ahead. Wearing Alessandra linen maxi dress (love the black too), Saint Laurent slides, Parisa Wang bag (also here), Missoma earrings, Missoma bracelet, Mejuri dome bracelet, Fedoma Jewellery…
I always like to use the end of the year as an opportunity for reflection. I’ll look over my goals, and whether I managed to surpass them, which helps me to manage my expectations for the year ahead. I also love doing a deep dive into my wardrobe, identifying my most worn items (blog post incoming…), as well as the outfits I absolutely loved wearing. My wardrobe has been a bit of a “work in progress” for many years. We’re constantly evolving, and 2019 was a big year of change for me. Not only was it my first full year…
