The first two months of the year always seem to whiz by in a flash. Generally I find January to be a come down from holiday festivities as we start to dive back into work for the year, and the 28 days (or 29…) of February are always over too soon. February was a pretty big month for me in the way of beauty; I added quite a few new products into rotation across my makeup and skincare routines, including from a couple of brands I’d been incredibly curious about. So let’s kick off this February beauty edit with what…
Habits can be pretty difficult to break. That coffee we can’t start our mornings without, watching TV to fall asleep, or the habit of buying something new as a treat or ‘just because’… I’ve been pretty guilty of that last one, using shopping often as a way to escape problems, because I’m bored, or because I’ve seen an item everywhere and feel that I need to add it to my wardrobe. The last few years I’ve found myself on a journey to try and shift my relationship with shopping, so that I can stop using it as a crutch, and…
In the past year, I’ve really ignited my love of denim; it’s gone from being something I wear over the weekend on occasion, to a wardrobe staple I reach for a few times a week at least. Wearing Uniqlo white shirt, Everlane ‘90s cheeky straight jean, Everlane editor flats, Everlane mid…
One of my favourite sales of the season has officially kicked off: Shopbop’s ‘Buy More, Save More’ event. I always use this opportunity to pick up a couple of key wardrobe staples that are on the higher end of the price spectrum, and in the past it’s been how I’ve snapped up the perfect white tee, plus I find it’s a good opportunity to try out a new-to-you brand too (like the time I ordered a swimsuit from Marysia swim). All items marked “Key Style” plus those already on sale are included in the sale. A couple of stand outs…
Building up a work wardrobe can be a little intimidating, especially if you’re only just entering the professional workforce. I know at 22, I was still in the throes of figuring out my personal style, which can often feel a little at odds with dressing for the office. If you’ve got a slightly relaxed dress code, I think you can easily inject a bit of personality with colour and print (in small doses), otherwise in a conservative office, I’d suggest using specific tailoring and accessories to add a touch of your own personal style to your outfit. Wearing Madewell shirt…
