Aside from my Chanel look-a-like pumps (and also here), my Everlane day heels quite quickly became a firm favourite in my every day wardrobe. As basic as it is, I love a good low heeled black pump, and if it’s in suede, it’s even better. Long gone are the days where I’m happy teetering around in a pair of sky high heels – though I’m sure they’ll have their moment again; fashion has a funny way of repeating itself. Outfit one; Everlane cheeky straight leg jeans, Stella McCartney sweater (similar here) Outfit two; ASOS denim skirt, Seed Heritage netted bucket…
Sustainability and ethically-produced are two major buzzwords in the fashion world right now; and with good reason. The rampant rise of throwaway and “fast” fashion has meant that there are brands and factories that will cut corners, just to be able to provide a constant stream of clothing that is affordable, but the big question is, at what price? While I’m not perfect by any means, my growing awareness of the pitfalls of the fashion industry have been a driver in my push to shop consciously, sustainably, and ethically where possible, and I talked about the why of this in…
Happy Wednesday! While I tend to wear (and feature) denim pretty frequently on Mademoiselle, it’s not that often that I’ll opt for something this relaxed. But, I wanted to put Everlane’s new stretch denim to the test, and I figured it was best to keep the rest of the outfit fairly simple… you know, so I could bend and stretch. As far as my wardrobe goes, a good pair of white jeans is a definite staple – and surprisingly versatile too. I feel most comfortable in an earthy or monochromatic outfit, and white jeans are a natural go-to for me, especially if I don’t know what to wear. L: wearing Apero Label tee, Riders by Lee skinny jeans, Everlane trench and Vince Camuto leopard sandals R: wearing Whistles tee, Everlane cheeky straight leg jeans, Mute by JL cashmere coat, Acne Studios canada scarf, Sam Edelman loafers But, wearing white jeans can be a bit of a minefield – I’m sure…
As much as I wishlist and plan out the perceived gaps in my wardrobe at the start of each season, one of the things I look forward to even more so is being able to pull out and fall back on some of those old favourites. I’m a huge believer in taking the time to invest in your wardrobe (and I don’t necessarily mean in just a monetary sense), as it leads to fewer, better, and longer lasting purchases in your wardrobe, assuming your style and preferences remain static, that is. After reading one of Rebecca’s post on the a/w…
