Hands down my favourite time of year to dress for, is during those transitional seasons, as we shift from winter to spring, or on the flipside, from summer to autumn. Sydney winters may be milder than most, but that doesn’t stop me longing to bare my legs and stash away some of those oversized winter knits. Experience has taught me that transitional dressing is always short-lived, so I’ll typically use this opportunity to blend my summer and winter wardrobes, which gives me the best of both worlds. Wearing Everlane linen shirt, Dr Denim skinny jeans (similar), H&M check blazer (also…
With just under a week *technically* left of winter, it’s safe to say that I’ve already started thinking about getting my spring wardrobe underway. Because I have enough space in my closet to keep my entire wardrobe on display all year round, spring wardrobe planning for me generally means identifying some new outfit combinations from my existing favourites, which I’ll refresh with a couple of new wardrobe additions. Because of the very nature of blogging, I’ve definitely already had my eye on new spring arrivals, and been trying to make the most of the end of season sales where it…
all images via pinterest I feel like I’ve been talking about renovating our bathroom since Luke and I settled on our house back in May, but after months of planning (and saving), we’re finally at the point of locking in the job. We have an older, 1950s style house, and while we’d considered completely reconfiguring the current bathroom, we’ve decided for convenience, to keep the bathroom and adjacent toilet (/powder room) as is. We’ve gone down the more conservative route with our design choices, opting for hexagonal carrara marble tiles for the floors, subway tiles for the inside of the…
Day-to-day for the office, I’m all about functionality. I like my outfits to be comfortable enough to move around in, my footwear able to withstand almost two hours walking per day, and I want my work bag to have the capacity for all my daily needs, and then some. Generally, this means relying on the tote bag (I love this one from Cuyana, the most) – it’s a total classic – but when I had a chance to try out the new Everlane Form Bag, I was curious to see whether this sports luxe leather shoulder bag would be a…
I’ve been lusting after a couple of bags from Staud for months now; namely, the Staud Moreau bag, which is a netted bucket bag with rounded leather handles, and the more streamlined Bissett bag, which is a structured bucket bag with a single handle. I don’t tend to take new bag purchases lightly, especially when I’m looking at splashing $500+ on a single item, so I’ve been taking the time to mull these ones over. Wearing Stella McCartney sweater (similar option here), Everlane cheeky straight leg jeans, Charlotte Olympia suede pumps (similar), Seed Heritage crochet bucket bag (real thing here)…
