If I learnt anything during our recent move, it’s that my wardrobe is bursting at the seams… just a little. And somehow, even though a Sydney winter truly only lasts a couple of months, I’ve managed to amass quite the collection of coats. I’ve been meaning to share a bit of a winter coat edit on the blog for some time now, so today I’m sharing a round up of some of my favourites from the high street to high end, across all my favourite styles for you below. The peacoat An absolute classic, this double breasted collared style is…
It’s funny how a few key pieces can totally transform a wardrobe, and your take on your personal style. My own style journey has been in a constant state of flux the last 18 months, as I’ve found myself trialling a few fashion hits, and some style misses. While I’ve learnt that shopping to mask periods of stress and insecurity doesn’t do my wallet or my closet any favours, it has helped me to more clearly define what I do and what I don’t like, while having the added benefit of seeing me broaden the colour spectrum of my closet,…
My favourite kind of wardrobe additions are the ones that I find myself wanting to reach for straight away, regardless of the season. This little navy midi length skirt with a peplum hem fell straight into that category, and even though the recent forecast has been pretty miserable – think 15 deg C and rainy – it felt like the kind of piece that could transition well into my winter wardrobe, despite the fact that it’s actually a summer style. Wearing Kate Sylvester black turtleneck (old but similar here), MVN faux leather jacket (also love this), c/o Boden navy peplum…
Off the back of the Everlane Review that I shared on my channel earlier today, I thought I’d do a round up of my top picks from Everlane. As you know, I’m a pretty big fan of the brand, and over the years have amassed a pretty large number of Everlane items in my wardrobe – safe to say that there’s seldom a day when I’m not reaching for one of their classic staples as a key component of my outfit. While I’d agree that there’s not enough scrutiny around their ‘radical transparency’, I’m yet to find another brand which…
It’s been two weeks since we moved into our new home, and it feels like we’ve finally started to make progress on our renovations. Not including the wardrobe in the small spare room – which needs to be re-installed – our three bedrooms have been prepped, primed and painted. The walls in the open plan living space and study have been given a fresh lick of paint, and we’re halfway through planning the changes to our bathroom. Essentially, it’s finally starting to feel like our home, and it means that I can start to focus on the fun part: updating…
