When it comes to mixing prints, I’ve always been a ‘less is more’ kind of girl. My motto is ‘stripes go with everything’, and they’ve usually been my go to for when I want to amp up an outfit or add an interesting layer to my look. wearing: Sportsgirl spot top (old but I LOVE this one, and this is a great alternative, or an affordable option here), Houndstooth wrap skirt (also love this option), Vaneli two tone pumps (these are also lovely), Chanel boy bag (affordable dupe here) My wardrobe might err on the more classic end of the…
How incredibly dreamy is this beautiful villa in Hellerup, Denmark? The nordic style abode is home to fashion sales assistant Camilla Allen, and her family, and I don’t think it could be any more perfect. Perhaps one of my favourite features of this home is the parquet wooden flooring in the dining room, and the contrast of natural earthy tones with eccentric pops of colour (the pastel blue cushions in the bedroom are a fave!). The other thing that I really love are the Hans Wegner wishbone chairs – I’ve been eying up a pair of these to replace the…
Frame Denim cable knit sweater (I adore this option and this is also a great alternative), J Crew denim skirt (also love this), MVN faux leather jacket (this one is cute too), Everlane chelsea boots, Celine trotteur bag (also here) It might be spring but I’m not ready to pack away my boots and chunky knit sweater just yet, even if the thermostat topped out at 37 degrees celsius today (yep, that’s officially summer temps!). Where I can I try and make my wardrobe go the extra mile, whether it’s a work wardrobe staple that I also reach for in…
There’s a saying, less is more, and what I’ve come to find over the years of refining my wardrobe, is that this is resoundingly true when it comes to style. I may have chosen to give up the capsule wardrobe, but quality over quantity is still at the forefront of mind, particularly when it comes to building a work wardrobe. So today, I wanted to talk through what I call the 12 item work wardrobe; that is, the 12 pieces that combined, make up a versatile and interchangeable collection of outfits for the office (and don’t eat into your budget…
Chances are, I’m probably not the first blogger you’ve stumbled across with a ‘traditional’ 9 to 5 job, and I doubt that I’ll be the last. As much as blogging has become a powerhouse industry of its own, there are plenty of people out there – like me! – who juggle the responsibilities of managing an online space, with the day-to-day pressures of their full-time job. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always had a passion project; whether it was designing and creating content for a website from scratch, or developing and drawing a manga-style comic, there was…
