Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in 102 Light Natural* It’s mostly been too hot this summer to warrant wearing much on my face aside from the requisite liquid eyeliner and a dash of mascara, but for those days when we’ve had a slight respite from the heat, there’s just one thing that I’ve been buffing into my skin; Rimmel’s Match Perfection Foundation. I picked this up in the shade 102 Light Natural, which looks a little dark in the bottle but lightens up as it blends out onto the skin. It takes a lot to get me to step away from…
Valentino tango pumps, Charlotte Olympia panda flats, oversized baroque mirror I’ve mentioned before that I’ve swapped high heels for a quirky pair of flats, but when life gives you lemons – and by lemons, I mean, when the strap on your favourite pair of low heeled sandals breaks – you jump straight back into the game with a new pair of kitten heels. On another note, this little corner of our living room is one of my happy places; a large baroque framed full length mirror, where I make a quick pit stop before heading out the door each morning.
All good things must come to an end… and sometimes, life pips you at the post and gives you that little push. While I wasn’t planning on parting with my bucket bag from Mansur Gavriel – or a few other pieces from my wardrobe, to go up this weekend – it’s definitely a bittersweet ending, given I waited six (!!) months just to get my hands on this matte black leather beauty. Topshop stripe top, Karen Walker merchant shorts, Valentino tango pumps, Mansur Gavriel bucket bag, Karen Walker necklace Short of going full on nautical, there’s nothing I like to reach for more in the summer months, than a striped tee. I picked this one up recently, after wandering into Topshop in search of donuts, and after a little switch-er-oo, I decided to include it in my Summer capsule for those slightly cooler days. And for those wondering, given that this is a little of the mark of my previous capsule video , my Opening Ceremony sandals have been tossed to the…
It occurred to me over the weekend that I’ve come full circle with the capsule wardrobe – more than 12 months living with less choice, and I don’t think I would have done it any other way. Aside from the obvious, possibly the most notable thing for me, has been that any new addition to the wardrobe feels that little bit sparklier for longer. That ‘brand new’ glow doesn’t seem to wear off quite so fast. For Summer, I’ve decided to go with the 30×30 Challenge throughout December, and give myself a bit of freedom for the remaining two months…
