Leaf Greener, MBFWA day one On first glance, and in those oversized bug-eyed sunglasses, Leaf Greener could so easily be mistaken for Susie Bubble (as I, and a few other photographers I saw that day would attest to). The sharply cut fringe, jet black hair and innate nonchalance is enough to give you a double take. I’ve been scrolling through the streetstyle blog feeds and one thing I’ll say about Leaf; she wears what she likes, because she likes it – which if you ask me, is the best way to approach fashion. And if you’re wondering what it was…
Mansur Gavriel bucket bag (in black/ballerina), Acne Studios jensen boots (in grain leather) So I’m three months into the Five Piece French Wardrobe Challenge, and as difficult as I’m finding it to stay away from the shops, I’ve found that actually sticking to my wishlist has really been helping to keep me in check. You may recall that I made a quick list of my five back in January and so far I’ve snagged 2 items from the list (and a couple of everyday basics, but those don’t count, remember?), and one which was a calculated impulse buy (I’m pretty…
MBFWA, day one Suffice to say, one of my favourite things about MBFWA is always the shoes. Monday was all about high heeled strappy sandals or a little bit of comfort, mainly in the form of a low heeled black boot. Now that’s a trend I’m pretty keen to jump right on, and as for the strappy sandals? Could be high time I start looking to invest in a pair – now if only buying a pair of lace up Alaia’s didn’t break the bank…. Shop shoes:
Glassons tank, Dion Lee skirt, Valentino rockstud kitten heels, Mansur Gavriel bucket bag The last week I’ve spent dispproportionately large chunks of time browsing on ASOS, Topshop, Missguided, Everlane and J. Crew, for pretty much nothing in particular. Given how feverishly I’ve been adding to my ‘wishlist’, the thing I found most surprising wasn’t the volume (or a few of the more questionable stores) but the actual items I was gravitating towards. Cornflower blue pinstriped trousers, denim overall dresses fit for a girl at least half my age, body-hugging two pieces which show just a sliver of midriff, and metallic…
Favourites time again; and this month has been a little less heavy on the product side. I’ve been steering clear of bases and skincare while my dermatitis/eczema clears up and sticking mostly to the basics the last four weeks. After a couple of months testing out a few different eyeshadow palettes, I’ve gone back to Urban Decay’s NAKED 2, which has been perfect for a simple everyday look. There’s a reason why so many people own this palette (or 1, or 3…); for one, it’s incredibly pigmented – although there can be a little powder kick up if you’re little…
