Bassike heritage stripe t-shirt, Frame Denim jeans (also available here), Helmut Lang blazer (also available here), Zimmermann chelsea boots, Proenza Schouler PS11 There are the kinds of outfits that are just easy. You throw it on, and you know it’s going to work before you even look in the mirror – the kind of outfit you have as a back up for when all else fails. For me, it’s always dark denim with heeled boots and an oversized jumper of partially tucked in t-shirt, with a blazer if I’m planning on looking ‘smart’. Denim was among the many things that…
image source – Andreea Diaconu in Isabel Marant Etoile, photographed by Karim Sadli Winter. Always the perfect excuse for a new coat (not that you needed one, of course). As if the shorter days and glistening layer of frost covering the grass every morning weren’t enough of a cue, it helps that the winter chill is really starting to bite, so much so that I’ve finally succumbed to the daily ritual of throwing on a coat (or a jacket at least!) before leaving the house. James Perse shirt dress (or in charcoal!), Isabel Marant dicker boots, Proenza Schouler PS11 satchel, MBMJ katie bracelet Rewind to a few weeks ago, in the calm before the storm that is Fashion Week. Spending days criss crossing through Paddington, Double Bay and Potts Point, in search of Rick Owens and gelato (Messina, of course).
Aesop facial cleanser, Aesop B&T Toner, Aesop resurrection hand balm, Diptyque DoSon eau de parfum I’m not usually the first to rush to the beauty counter, but I couldn’t resist dropping by Aesop and Mecca on the way home. Initially, I’d just planned on replenishing my dwindling skincare supply, yet after a good 45 minutes trawling through the shelves in Mecca, I ended up with a new perfume and several (much-needed) hair products. I’ve previously posted about my experience using Grown Alchemist, yet after months of use, have ascertained that the cleanser is not strong enough for my skin, and…
Leroy Nguyen ‘Blue Rose’ Spring/Summer 2014/15 Sports luxe undertones accompanied vivid floral prints, directional inserts, and uneven hemlines at the runway show of Leroy Nguyen’s ‘Blue Rose’ S/S 14 collection. Crocodile prints were a running theme, reincarnated through subtle embossing and a strikingly bold oceanic print. Underlying references to the deep blue, and a brilliant rose floral were prominent throughout; an emphasis on clean lines, exclusive prints, with punchy pops of colour undercutting a stark white palette.
