Celebrated another year around the sun in this phenomenal little mini dress from Wynn Hamlynn. Had a long lunch at Ursula’s with my husband – kid-free – a rarity for us and such a treat. The golden syrup dumplings are a must-have. Wearing Wynn Hamlynn dress (size NZ8); The Frankie Shop blazer (size S but recommend sizing down – my green one is currently 50% off!); Tibi Larsen sandals (size EU40); Chanel vintage classic flap; Mejuri hoops; Monica Vinader necklace
My husband and I adore the south coast. Having previously stayed at Bangalay Luxury Villas (which we loved), we knew we couldn’t pass up the chance to stay at their sister site, Anglesea by Bangalay, should the opportunity arise. My sister’s wedding, in Berry, presented the perfect opportunity as we were also travelling with my in-laws and needed a place to stay that would accommodate six of us. OUR STAY AT ANGLESEA BY BANGALAY As anticipated, the accommodation was inviting, cosy, and coastal. A natural reflection of the surrounding environment, with a view out to the water from the upstairs…
Sharing some workwear outfit inspiration for my Northern Hemisphere friends. One of my typical winter styling tricks for when it’s really cold, is to opt for (chic) base layers that are cut close to the body. These from COS are a personal favourite and come in a few different colours. A great jacket or knit worn over the top to complete the look, which you can easily de-layer if needed. I still love a voluminous blazer, but a simple way to give shape and add balance is to belt it at the waist for an instant peplum effect. This is…
Came across these photos from an outfit I wore shortly after my trip to Dallas in September, and realised I’d completely forgotten to share them. Save for today’s weather (31 deg C), I’d be reaching for these easy separates in this same combination in a flash. Which to me is always a good sign that you’ve found a winning combination. Fluid drape trousers might be having their moment in the sun – and I’m a total convert – but I’m still partial to something cropped, especially when worn with sandals. Perhaps the favourite aspect of this outfit for me, is…
Proving to be the most influential factor in informing my wardrobe additions; it’s texture. Items with some sort of tactile quality have been top of mind, in part because I think many of those wardrobe basics lists (that my closet is full of), tend to fall a bit flat. Lacking in excitement, but laden with versatility. Perspectives around what constitutes a “wardrobe basic” has shifted in the past two years. Moving away from static, inflexible lists, to have a stronger focus on what you personally wear on repeat. This is to say, just because a wardrobe basics lists states you…
