Been thinking a little bit about how I like to wear colour and create contrast and cohesion in my outfits. And one thing that struck me is around the way I’ll typically wear an outerwear piece. Something I seem to crave and desire – right now, that is – is a consistency in the tones, saturation and depth of colour between my top and outerwear. So, in the first example, wearing a cardigan that is richer in depth, cool-toned, and grey-leaning. Reflecting these same qualities in my choice of outerwear. Which seems to have translated to the bag as well,…
These lip crayons have been rattling around in my drawer for a couple of months now, and I thought it was high time I finally shared my thoughts. A full review, along with swatches of the seven shades [PR] that I have. So, let’s review the Laura Mercier Petal Soft Lipstick Crayon. Laura Mercier Petal Soft Lipstick Crayon Review First I think it’s apt to talk about my lipstick preferences, as that definitely colours how I look at a product. I love blurry, watercolour-like finishes that don’t require much precision. Something that is easily applied without a mirror, and has…

Happy New Year! I hope your 2023 has been off to a marvellous start. Out of habit now, I like to spend the first few days of the year reflecting, so it’s only fitting to kick off my first post of the year with a retrospective on my 2022 style. More specifically, the items I actually wore the most. Based on hard data from tracking my daily outfits throughout the year. For those curious, it’s a primitive method. Noting down each piece on my phone, before transferring it into a rather large excel document at the end of each season.…
We had a mini heat wave earlier this week, and on my mind was putting together outfits which would look chic even when you feel like you’re melting. My top tips? Opt for natural fibres (you’ll still feel comfortable in high coverage pieces). Add interest through texture and proportion balancing. Wear lighter hues as darker ones tend to absorb heat. That said, a comfy pair of shorts and strappy camisole are always a good fallback for a casual holiday outfit. OUTFIT #1 | St Agni camisole; Bondi Born trousers; Pieton mules (10% off with Mademoiselle2022); Loewe bag; Monica Vinader pearl/gold…
