That shift in seasons always signals to me that it’s time to refresh my beauty game. My complexion behaves differently depending on the time of year. I’d argue that it’s almost as fickle as I am. Some of my heavier night creams which I’d use a few times a week are now an absolute no-go. And from a make up perspective, I want to add more *glow* where I can. THE SKINCARE EDIT So let’s start first with skin, as that’s where I’ve noticed the biggest change in my routine. PMD Beauty Clean Pro RQ | I’ve always wanted to…
Kicking off the week with a download of the first five outfits I’ve worn as part of my Spring 30X30. day one Wearing Everlane blouse; Madewell skinny jeans; Undercontrol studio belt (10% off with “mademoiselle10”); Gucci loafers; The Curated mock croc leather bag; Filippo Loreti jewellery (use “mademoiselle15” for 15% off purchases over $60) If this has been a taste of what to expect for the rest of the month – weather wise – then I’ll have to say I definitely underestimated how warm it would be. I kicked off my spring capsule wardrobe with a simple white blouse and…
How are we already one month into the new season? I have to say, this truly is my favourite time of year. Well, combined with that transition into autumn. It’s when you get to have the most fun with your wardrobe. Layers are both serving a purpose, but can be chopped and changed to create a style mood. As I mentioned when I wrapped up my winter 30X30 capsule, I thought it would be fun (and useful!) to do a capsule “month” every season. It’s a way to go back to basics, continue refining your style, and also pushing yourself…
I have to admit, I still find it hard to believe that more than half a year has passed since I gave birth to our little boy. It’s challenging to put into words what being a mum has meant to me; my heart feels full, and our lives complete. There’s a saying; the days are long but the weeks are short. As cliche as it sounds, it sums up the last six months pretty perfectly. Especially the more difficult days. So I thought now that we’ve passed the six month mark, it might be useful if I shared a round…
I’ve been loving the shift in seasons, and the opportunity to finally revisit so many of my spring/summer favourites. It feels like an age since I last wore them, given I spent the spring and summer of last year cooking up a baby; anything I owned with a fitted waist was completely off the menu. So from a “wardrobe building” perspective, there hasn’t been many gaps I’ve felt the need to fill. Instead, I’ve been wholly content with what’s already stashed away in my wardrobe. The closet makeover has definitely helped too – but I’ll be sharing more on that…
