I finished up the week with two very relaxed outfits (and another item swap – more on that soon). For Thursday, I focused the core of my outfit around wanting to wear sneakers. I was meeting up with a mum’s group for the first time at Sydney Park, and wanted to feel comfortable as we did a large loop of the grounds. No surprises here, but one thing I gravitate towards when I’m not 100% sure on what to wear is stripes. Wearing Uniqlo mens stripe top (old but this is cute); Zara skinny jeans (old but these are similar);…
Halfway through my capsule, and I can already see how different my attitude is towards this wardrobe method the second time around. One of the main reasons I stopped doing capsule wardrobes in the first place was because I constantly felt restricted. It stopped being a “fun” way to get dressed in the morning, and I had an underlying resentment towards it because I was so grounded and focused on the rules. Wearing H&M blue shirt (sold out but I love this one); Christopher Kane skirt (old but this is cute); & Other Stories cardigan; Vaneli two tone pumps; Ateliers…
Two weeks in and almost at the halfway point, I’ve gone for a classic combo I always love wearing. My Joseph knit sweater, paired with faded black skinny jeans a two-tone pumps. I wore a similar iteration around a month ago, and clearly am not stranger to repeating outfits (or combinations) that I love. Wearing Joseph knit sweater (similar alternative); Uniqlo tee (worn underneath); Zara jeans (old but love these as an alternative); Vaneli two-tone pumps; Polene number one nano bag* I wore this for my first trip into the city in over five months for an appointment and to…
Yesterday’s outfit was inspired largely by Jess Molina. I’d spotted a very similar look on her Instagram last week, and loved the juxtaposition of wearing casual elements with more glam pieces; both in texture, and in silhouette. So, I set about to recreate the look using items I’d included in my capsule. Wearing Everlane sweater*; Marle skirt; Golden Goose sneakers; Polene number one nano bag*; Muru Jewellery necklace* I wore my Everlane alpaca knit sweater (again); this time taking that style cue from Jess and wearing it untucked. In truth, this is something I seldom do. My hips are my…
The four-month sleep regression is exhausting. I’m almost tempted to start spending my days in loungewear, working where I need to from bed. My weekend outfits definitely reflect that, as I opted for easy, relaxed basics which were the next best thing. Wearing Uniqlo men’s stripe top (old but this is cute); Karen Walker trousers (similar option here); Charlotte Olympia kitty flats; Polene number one nano bag*; Mejuri necklace & pearl bracelet*; Rosefield watch Linen is typically something I associate with spring/summer, but I’ve loved the juxtaposition of wearing this breezy material during the colder months. I was almost tempted…
