So turns out in my haste to share my weekend outfits, I completely overlooked sharing what I actually wore on Friday; or day three of my 30X30. While I’d usually try and do a Fancy Friday outfit, after surviving through almost an entire month of extremely broken sleep, all I wanted to wear was something that felt like loungewear, only wasn’t. Wearing Sezane chuck sweater; Forcast trousers (old but love this pair); Celine trio bag; Everlane 40 hour flats; Mejuri necklace The first thing I made a beeline for was my chuck sweater from Sezane. I’ve admittedly found a lot…
A quick little Sunday check in to share the outfits I’ve worn for the past two days. For Saturday, I went with a #stickofbutter kind of look. Or as I like to call it, a vanilla sundae outfit. I tried to play into my love of neutrals – somewhat, at least – with this capsule, including a few lighter pieces that still worked well for winter. Wearing Everlane alpaca sweater*; Karen Walker trousers; Golden Goose sneakers; Phillip Lim mini pashli; Mejuri bracelet*; Rosefield watch The trousers are a pair that I bought while I was still pregnant. I’d anticipated myself…
Day two of the 30X30 challenge and I went for an oldie but a goodie, so I’ll keep this one short. The entire outfit revolved around one of my most loved items in my closet; the Joseph rollneck sweater. Wearing Joseph rollneck sweater (more affordable in a taupe colour); Madewell skinny jeans (also here); Charlotte Olympia kitty flats; Cuyana leather tote bag It’s my third winter with this knit, and clearly my love for it has yet to fade. Despite being a bit of a splurge – even on sale – it’s continued to hold one of the top spots…
Yesterday (Wednesday) marked the first day of my 30X30 winter capsule wardrobe, and I went for an unsurprisingly predictable combination. A chunky knit sweater, slim fitting jeans, and some tidy looking shoes to dress it up a little. Wearing Madewell t-shirt (not visible); Sheep Inc medium sweater; Zara jeans (old but similar here); Vaneli two tone pumps (also here); IRO coat (old but similar option here and I also like this one); Cuyana tote bag I’m not sure whether I alluded to this previously, but we’re currently in the throes of battling through our baby boy’s four month sleep progression.…
As I alluded in my previous post, I’ve recently been toying with the idea of creating a 30X30 capsule wardrobe. This was something I regularly sought out as a challenge in my early foray to discovering minimalism and how I connected with it. These days, I think it’s a useful tool for hitting the reset button, redefining your style, or maximising the contents of your wardrobe. I haven’t talked about this much – if at all really – but I’ve found myself struggling to nail down my identity as a new mum. It’s been the driving force (along with stress…
