It’s hard to believe that Christmas is just a few short weeks away, and being the type who tries to keep at least one foot ahead of the game, I typically start to plan out my Christmas shopping list a good eight weeks in advance. It’s that time of year when getting value for money is extremely important, especially if you’re like me and tend to go ‘all out’ when it comes to your loved ones.
With that in mind, I recently dropped by my local TK Maxx store in Hillsdale, to check out what they had on offer, with some stocking stuffers for Luke at the top of my wish list. Luke’s not always the easiest to shop for, but I’ve been banking a few ideas over the course of the year; a new leather wallet to replace the one he’s completely thrashed, a staple supply of socks to substitute the pairs which always seem to go missing, new headphones to keep on standby in case our cat Winston chews up another pair, and a good pair of boxers – something that never goes astray during a Sydney summer.
In addition to stumbling across a treasure trove of all the items I was after, my local TK Maxx store was bursting with other men’s gift ideas such as slick boxed ties, whiskey glasses and decanter sets (this came very close to coming home with me!), luxe leather toiletries cases, and punchy summer board shorts. Perhaps the one thing that kept me lingering a little longer than I needed to was the absolute breadth of choice – not to mention the fact that in addition to some perfect stocking stuffers for the men in your life, they have gift ideas for the whole family (my personal fave was a beautiful glass and brass detailed jewellery box).
Nothing quite beats a successful Christmas shopping mission, and if you can’t tell from the snaps above, I managed to track down everything I was after, and then some. And while I was picking out some gifts for Luke, I also managed to snap up a couple rolls of wrapping paper, ribbons and gift tags – I figure if I’m going to go to the trouble to picking up some thoughtful stocking fillers, they should look the part!
For me, TK Maxx ticks all the boxes for being a one stop shop for everything you need at Christmas – from gifts that you can give the whole family, to gift wrapping needs and holiday decor, it’s definitely got me covered this Christmas, plus I love the fact that the stock is always fresh, every time I pop in-store, and they pass the savings on to the consumer, giving you great value for your money (something we could all use at a time like Christmas!).
TK Maxx has 38 stores across NSW, VIC, QLD and ACT, and you can find your nearest store by checking out the store finder on their website here.
Thank you so much to TK Maxx for collaborating with me on this post.
