COS: 5 Things I’m Coveting

COS is currently knocking it out of the park with their new season arrivals, so sharing five things I’ll currently coveting (and will be adding to my Carted wishlist post haste!). Listed below in no particular order (but you can also click the above image to check out my faves).

#1 | COS Charcoal grey wool trousers

I bought a pair of these from the sister brand Arket over a year ago, and without fail, I’ll get asked where they’re from every time I wear them. The classic cut, which combined with a sense of sporty ease feels perfectly balanced. Whenever I’m asked for advice around how to “dress up” a little bit, my number one tip is to opt for items that feel like an elevated version of a staple you’re already wearing. These are basically a dressed up sweatpant, but crafted in a more formal fabrication. Also, they’re 100% wool, the worsted kind, which feels really comfortable to wear but is also machine washable (do wool/handwash setting, cold water). Also I know the website says these are navy, but IRL they’re more of a charcoal with a blue tinge. Runs a size large.

#2 | COS cream merino roll neck sweater

Deconstructed silhouettes were one of the trends that I noticed during Australian Fashion Week, and I was drawn to this sweater initially because of the asymmetric, undone hemline. It’s also 100% merino wool, which is a big tick in my books as a temperature regulating fabric that’ll keep you warm and cosy during the winter time. It has a visible seam running across the back, along with a split in the collar which makes the neckline feel more open. This is the sort of thing I’d pair worn loose with the aforementioned trousers, with denim and a floor sweeping coat, or even over a slinky skirt (ultimate texture combo – fuzzy & silky!).

#3 | COS colourblock car coat

Outerwear is a huge part of your outfit during the colder months. And if you look at your clothing budget from the perspective of spending more on items you actually wear the most, it makes sense that I’m often saying coats and jackets are an area worth splurging on. Car coats are a great alternative to trench, and this one in particular I love because of the colourblock detail. That black contrast back is so striking! One of those pieces that’ll feel special every time you reach for it.

#4 | COS panelled denim mini dress

I did a double take when I saw that this little mini is denim. Denim!! Firstly, the colour. Tres chic in a rich chocolate burgundy-brown; a hue that I’m slowly letting take over my closet as a “new” neutral. Then the texture. On sight it has a bit of a velvet flocked feel, but with the look of a denim twill. The composition is a lyocell-cotton blend, so makes sense. The result is something that looks really luxe, but in a fun, playful silhouette. I’d be pairing this with tights and a knee high boot or Mary janes for winter, and then a full length coat to play up the mini-length visual break.

#5 | COS waisted double faced wool cardigan

Final pick/item from COS I’m currently coveting is this “waisted” double faced wool cardigan. The pinched in waist gives the illusion of an hourglass silhouette, which visually feels very interesting when combined with that longline silhouette. Also comes with a matching skirt, though I think it’s a strong enough style to buy as a standalone, and pair with different textures, or even something as simple as your favourite pair of jeans.

Unfortunately none of the links work from this post! I am US based, could that be why? I’d love to make sure I click on exactly the item you are recommending!

I think that might be why – perhaps redirecting to the AU website. This is really good feedback as I can link both AU/International/US in future. You should however be able to search the exact item names on the COS site and locate them that way if they’re available. Sorry for the hassle. Let me know if there was an item in particular you wanted to check out x
