Everlane Choose What You Pay Sale: My Top Ten Picks

Everlane have just kicked off one of their epic Choose What You Pay sales. I thought while I’m having a browse for a few bits for Luke’s A/W wardrobe, I’d share a round up of my top ten picks. If you’ve been eying anything up, now’s definitely the time to see if it’s made it in the sale. Often a lot of the brand’s core styles are offered at a reduced price. And not only does this include your classic neutral colours, but some really fun and punchy hues too. 

01 | The Mini Form Bag

I’ve been meaning to share a review on this bag for some time now, and had to zero in on it as one of my favourite finds from the sale. Not to sound like a broken record, but the quality of Everlane’s leather goods is impeccable. This really is no exception. The smooth leather feels sturdy and has structure to it, but like their other bags, will soften with age. It has a magnetic closure which helps secure the bag shut, and I feel like the canvas strap works so much better than on the original form bag (also on sale, and I’ve reviewed that style here). 

My handbag essentials have become more curated over the years, and this fits the perfect amount. You can easily fit a continental wallet in there, sunglasses, keys, an iPhone plus, headphones, and a couple makeup items. All you need, really.

This has been a convenient size for me, especially since having a baby, just to keep those necessities close to my person. I went with the sand colour which is a beautiful neutral-leaning-slightly-cool-toned nude. If you’ve had this on your wishlist, now is definitely the time to add it to your cart.

02 | The ReCashmere Stroopwafel Crew

Next up, let’s talk knitwear. I’m a big fan of Everlane’s ReCashmere line, and the stroopwafel texture is a favourite of mine. It adds a layer of dimension to a basic cold weather staple. This is a blend of merino wool and recycled cashmere, and while it’s not as soft as a 100% cashmere knit, it’s pretty darn close. Oh, and cosy to boot. I’m wearing the mockneck version above, and I sized up to an M for a slouchier fit.

03 | The 40-Hour Flat

Based on my wardrobe wear count for Autumn, the 40 Hour Flat is definitely tipped to be my most worn shoe of the season. Pointed toe shoes have a leg-lengthening effect, and they dress up even the most casual of outfits. The wear and tear on these has been great; they’ve held up so well! If you’d like a closer look, I shared a review on these shoes here. I went up a half size to a US10 (I’m usually a US9.5 in Everlane footwear) to accommodate for my wide feet. If you have narrow feet, you should be fine with your usual size.

04 | The Oversized Alpaca Crew

One of the items I was most excited to start wearing again for A/W is my alpaca crew. It feels a little like wearing a big fluffy marshmallow. The sleeves have a puffed blouson effect which cinches in at the wrist, and it’s very boxy through the body. I wear this in a size S which has a perfectly relaxed fit. If you like your sweaters to fit closer to your body, I’d suggest sizing down.

05 | The Collarless Air Shirt

I’m quite narrow across the shoulders, so I often feel like collarless styles suit my frame better. Especially if the blouse has a dropped shoulder. It gives me a bit of balance rather than adding too much fussiness at the neckline. That’s why I really love this shirt. It’s super soft, and has a slightly cropped sleeve length. I find this works best tucked into mid-rise or high-waisted pants or skirts.

06 | The Day Glove ReKnit

If you’re planning to buy just one pair of shoes from Everlane, and want to know which ones are the most comfortable pair? It’s these. I wore my Day Glove ReKnits almost every day last winter, and all throughout spring. The knitted textile has a bit of give to it – perfect if you have wide feet like me. I found that these were comfortable straight out of the box. The rubber sole is lightweight and thin, so these are great for tucking into a bag or suitcase (for when we can travel again). 

07 | The ReCashmere Button Mockneck

Another piece I wanted to highlight from the ReCashmere line is this button mockneck sweater. There’s been a huge 90s revival recently, and this is all the good kinds of nostalgia. I have this in the bone shade, and I sized up to a L for a super slouchy fit. It’s quite cropped through the body so something that I find pairs best with high waisted trousers or skinny jeans.

08 | The Clean Silk Shell

One of the first items I ever purchased from Everlane was one of their silk shell tops. To me, it’s a quintessential work wardrobe basic, and looks so chic worn with a pencil skirt or ankle-length trousers, with a blazer thrown over top. 

09 | The Authentic Stretch Skinny Jean

I’m not going to lie, it’s been Groundhog Day with some of my outfits lately. I’m no stranger to repeating a look head-to-toe, and given the sleep deficit is real, I’ve taken to wearing some of the same combinations again and again. The Authentic Stretch Skinny Jean has been a pretty big feature in those outfits. They’re super soft, don’t bag out at all, and I really like the fit. I have both the white and a distressed mid-blue wash in the high-rise version, and I wear a size 26 ankle. 

10 | The Editor Heel

Finally, I want to wrap up my Everlane Choose What You Pay Sale favourite picks with the editor heel. I’ve mentioned these countless times on my YouTube channel as the perfect wear to work shoe. The mid-heel is super walkable despite being a stiletto style, and the squared off vamp is such a chic detail. I have these in three colours; black, navy and camel. I opted for these in my usual Everlane shoe size – US9.5 – and they’re the perfect fit. Out of the box they fit a little snug, but the leather gives after five or six wears. They’re so comfortable that I’ve even worn them on my old commute to work – a 45 minute walk each way!
