A final little Cyber Week sale PSA, as my favourite jeans are on sale; clearly one I feel the need to shout from the rooftops as they’re 25% off for one day only. My friends over at Everlane have discounted seven of their best-selling jeans, and I wanted to highlight two of my absolute favourite styles, along with a quick mini review. If you’ve had your eye on any of these jeans, it’s a great time to snap up a pair while saving (my preferred way to shop the BF/CW sales).
the original cheeky jean
This is Everlane’s latest denim launch, and it is good. They gave their Japanese cheeky jean an upgrade, with denim that feels much softer, and is now made using organic cotton. If you’ve listened to me chat through my most worn, then you’ll know how much love I have for the 90s cheeky; the same style but in a rigid denim (the 90s fits large so I recommend sizing down). The new original cheeky jean has quickly trumped them as a favourite because they’re soft, have stretch, and I really love the washes too. I have them in the ‘washed midnight’ and ‘ecru’. I find that the original cheeky jean fits true to size. So while I wear a 25 ankle in the 90s cheeky, I take a 26 ankle in the original cheeky.
the way-high jean
The other pair of Everlane jeans that you’ve probably heard me talk a lot about recently are the way-highs. These have a phenomenal 12 inch rise, which as someone with a long torso, I really appreciate. They’re also a true straight leg jean, so plenty wide through the leg. This makes them a perfect choice for winter (IMO) as they work well with all boots, and you can easily layer some heat tech underneath if needed. One thing I always have to flag is that the inseam varies slightly by wash. Of all the pairs I own, the ‘coal’ wash has the longest inseam. That said, they do offer this style in a “long” length if you are taller! I find that the way-high jeans run ever so slightly on the generous side, so I sized down to a 25.
