Friday Finds #4

Happy Friday everyone and welcome back for the first Friday Finds of 2019. It’s so cliche to say it, but I can’t believe that January has come and gone; it’s the one month of the year that always flashes by a little too quickly. Something I’ve really been focusing on for 2019 has been reflection – both inner and outer reflection. Things like how I tackle or react to problems, how I want to spend my spare time, what’s important to me, and how my style is going to evolve this year (especially as I soldier on with the 5PFW challenge).

There’s currently an extra 20% off ‘sale must haves’ at Net-a-Porter. While I’m not planning to buy anything due to the 5PFW challenge, I did really love the look of this gorgeous white dress.

I just found another reason to fill our house with plants.

One of the biggest trends for 2019 are hair accessories, and while I vowed not to buy into any trends this year, I dipped my toes in a little with this satin headband. It’s some serious nostalgia, but it’s a whole lot more chic than the multicolour floral ones I used to wear when I was younger.

Despite the movement towards ‘slow fashion’ or conscious shopping, I was absolutely stunned to see that retail sales in the US are set to top $3.8 trillion in 2019. That’s a LOT of shopping.

A very good tip for tackling the tricky questions about your current employer if you’re on the hunt for a new job.

I’ve been on a bit of a declutter binge for the past couple of months, and it’s comforting to know that even the queen of decluttering – Marie Kondo – feels the odd regret about parting with items from her home.

According to my summer wear count, these shoes are shaping up to be my most worn item of the season. I’m thinking it’s time I consider investing in the *real* thing…
