While it was probably hard to notice, every day I was in Sydney for Fashion Week I found myself reaching for the same pieces of jewellery. Which, I should probably point out, are the same pieces of jewellery that I tend to wear on an almost daily basis, any diversion from this a rare occurrence. There’s something comforting about the familiarity of a piece that is worn daily, however small it may be, and considering how little I seem to like change, it’s a small comfort I tend to cling to.
Transitioning from silver, to white gold and yellow gold with the odd wild card thrown in, my choices are for the most part delicate, simple and subdued compared to some of my irregular choices. And with such fine pieces, the temptation to add more is always there, which I generally cannot ever seem to avoid. Pondering the addition of something a little more special, or glamorous, like a pair of understated diamond studs for day to day wear or an additional necklace, and browsing websites like SamaraJames.com only seem to add fuel to the eternally burning fire. As with all things, it truly is only a matter of time before I succumb..
Will always have those pieces you just gravitate to. They always work and are so easy. Those are my favorite.

I find myself gravitating towards more delicate jewellery as well, especially with rings. I do still love my statement necklaces and earrings, but there’s just something about small and simple rings that wins me over.
Diamond studs are also such perfect everyday earrings. I have a yellow gold pair and a white gold pair, both simple, and there really is something very understated, but perfect when I wear them.

These are so pretty. I used to have a small collection of Hermes jewelry along with a few diamond pieces but most of the Hermes have been sold off. I love jewelry on others but not on myself.
