Karen Walker x Sephora brush set, Karen Walker x Sephora compact mirror
Given this was announced back in July of last year, I’m a little late to the game, but after finally getting my paws on Karen Walker’s *recent* collaboration with Sephora, I just had to share. It’s a perfect combination of my newfound love of beauty, with one of my first loves; Karen Walker – sartorially speaking, that is. For those of you who are feel otherwise inclined where mail forwarding is involved (Sephora is a tricky one), limited stocks of each are available from Karen Walker boutiques in New Zealand.
I was very lucky to be gifted the compact by my future in-laws (proof that those who know me, know me well!), and nabbed the brush set via their Wellington boutique, where I still make 90% of my Karen Walker purchases, for those curious.
So… let’s get onto the goods. The brush set comes with a powder brush, a large angled foundation brush (which I’ll be using for contouring), an angled blush brush, a shadow brush, a crease brush, and an angled liner brush – pretty much everything that you need to create most makeup looks. Aside from being poorly packaged (the brushes in mine had all tumbled out of their holder by the time they arrived), everything about the set screams luxury, from the sleek tortoiseshell pattern to the 24 carat gold plated filigree design. As beautiful as they are, they feel almost too special to use, particularly given that make up brushes don’t have a ‘forever’ shelf life, but the fact that the brushes are incredibly soft to the touch and pick up product very nicely, I can’t complain. And if anything else, these are utterly, divinely, and completely display-worthy.
And while I’ve had a Chanel compact on my wishlist for a while now, I’ve yet to see anything as eye catching Karen’s take, and have been enjoying whipping this out of my bag when touching up my lipstick. It’s a weighty piece, but the solid construction, cute arrow detail, and matching leather case have made this a must in my everyday handbag! x
These make up accessories are in a league of their own…..very nice indeed.

They definitely feel a lot fancier than anything else I own at the moment!
That compact is definitely super pretty! I love the brushes too but as of right now I only have 2 brushes I use so it would be pointless for me, haha!
