Knitwear season has arrived and I am living for it. My every day style uniform is pretty simple, so being able to add in extra texture and tactile element is a way to keep things interesting for me.
So to get ready for the A/W season ahead, I’ve added two new knits to my wardrobe from Cettire.

First up is the slouchy cardigan. The more oversized the better, in my books. I’ve especially been enjoying wearing styles like this all done up, with a slim silhouette on my lower half for balance. I tend to look at it as a focal piece, so want the rest of my outfit to complement it.
Worn open, I’d throw this over a slinky slip dress (ideally silk for that textural mix), or have a scoop neck tank underneath. Also works well during the transitional season with a mini skirt or some cotton/linen shorts. You can shop some of my favourites from Cettire via the carousel below.

And then of course, we have your classic chunky knit. When I spied this caramel-toned roll neck from ‘S Max Mara, I couldn’t resist adding it to cart. It reminded me of a similar knit I purchased over three years ago, which I’ve worn on repeat every winter. The silhouette is classic; something that I know won’t go out of style.

I tend to lean into that simple styling when wearing these. More often than not, I’ll throw on some jeans or a pair of tailored trousers and call it a day. That said, a roll neck like this also looks great worn over dresses or paired with skirts. I tend to find I prefer them best when creating a bit of shape, so I’ll always complete this look with a belt to cinch in the waist.
This one is incredibly soft, and a great option if you have sensitive skin; something I put down to the fabric mix (90% wool and 10% cashmere… *chef’s kiss*), and it comes in a few different colours too.
