All layered up

There’s one thing that I definitely wasn’t expecting upon moving to Sydney, the rain. And so much of it too. I’ve had to layer just to beat the chill up (merino has been my best friend), because, anything below 20 deg C is just plain icy.

One thing I won’t complain about, is the fact that it’s given me the excuse to wear this snuggly jumper from J Crew that I nabbed late last year (a month in and it still feels weird saying that). Never one to shop in season, I thought it would be perfect come Autumn, especially given it resembles a fuzzy cuddly teddy bear – I mean, why not, right?

Speaking of Autumn, I’ve started to map out my “Fall” wardrobe, just to see if I can spot any gaps. Glaringly obvious? The lack of black denim skinnies and some flat leather ankle boots. I haven’t had much luck with the boots, given they’ve been on my list since last winter, so I’m hoping to have a little bit of luck shopping local. As for the denim? I’ve been checking out ASOS for a throw-around pair (I do kind-of like these), although I’ve had such terrible luck with their denim sizing that I’m hesitant to buy another pair in case I have to return them, againrecently watched this).

Given that I’m doing the five piece French wardrobe challenge, and that I’m contemplating Project 333 for the first time, I’m keeping it pretty simple. For now, at least.
