ph. by me – in order of shows attended
Crawling out of bed this morning at some ungodly hour, I was clearly on autopilot as I prepared to head to the airport. In some random stroke of luck, all went without a hitch as my plane landed a half hour early in Sydney and customs queues were nonexistent, essentially washing away any concerns I may have had about missing the Camilla & Marc show. A show studded with beautifully structured pieces in rich colours and fabrics, which as the designers themselves put it, was a representation of the past, present and future of the label. Unfortunately from my vantage point taking photos was more difficult than I had anticipated, which is likely to be a recurring theme throughout the week I don’t doubt.
In addition to Camilla & Marc, I also popped along to the Aurelio Costarella presentation – although more on that later – Bec & Bridge, White Sands, by. Johnny, and the Group Swim show (featuring none other than NZ swim label Surface too Deep!).
It’s so hard not to get excited about the looks at each of these shows, and knowing that it’ll be another 5 months or so before the Spring/Summer collections are stocked in stores only heightens the attraction. What’s worse (for my bank account of course) is that I’ve been mentally compiling a wishlist which is after one day of shows, already ridiculously out of control.
Aside from attending shows, I’ve also been trying to snap as many street style shots as possible. Among them? Christine Centenera, BryanBoy, Susie Bubble and the ever stylish Natalie Cantell. All in due course!
I think the photos still turned out great especially that last one! 🙂 Looking forward to seeing more!
