Sharing this outfit I wore a few weeks back, as I really loved the proportions. If you can’t already tell, I’m a little obsessed with our new mīere knits and have really been enjoying finding different ways to style them. And when I paired them with these straight leg trousers, it all just “clicked”. I wouldn’t normally think to pair a chunky boot with an outfit like this, but I’ve been trying to push out of my usual comfort zone, and really loved how they added to the balance of colour.

I sort of stopped wearing belts in the months following the birth of my son, but have started wearing them with a vengeance recently. Both from a functionality aspect, but also to create definition and visual interest at the waist. The belt I’m wearing here adds a little bit of warmth to this very monochromatic outfit, and it might not be overly obvious but there’s some nice texture there too. And then my hair pulled back in a low bun as it felt less fussy than wearing it out as I usually would.
