& Other Stories is Shipping to Australia

So this is big news; & Other Stories is now shipping to Australia! Perhaps one of my favourite high street brands to browse, I’m really excited to see that they’ve expanded their international shipping offering. Particularly as I’d recently resorted to using mail forwarding just to get my hands on a piece that looked perfect for my A/W 2020 wardrobe.

To mark the occasion, I thought I’d share a round up of my five favourite picks that I’ve been considering adding to my wardrobe. We’re heading into summer so naturally, 100% of these picks wouldn’t work for right now, but I’ve got my post-pregnancy style on my mind, so am thinking ahead to Autumn 2020.

& Other Stories Wool Oversized Blazer | I thought I’d kick off with the one item at the top of my wishlist; this oversized, slightly masculine wool blazer. I’ve mentioned it time and time again, but Sydney winters are pretty mild, and some days don’t even call for a coat. Something like this, which is heavyweight, and covers your torso, would be perfect. Even when paired with a scarf if it’s a little chillier. I’ve really liked the checked options they’ve done previously, but classic black is always a winner (though I can’t imagine it’d be easy to keep Winston’s fur off it!). This also comes in a dreamy light beige if you prefer a more neutral colour palette.

& Other Stories Belted Tapered Pants | Denim is always the ultimate fall back for me during the colder months, but I’m determined to mix things up in 2020. I love the look of these particular trousers. They have a raw quality to the fabric (which is 100% cotton), and the D-ring waist belt feels a little 90s. Basically, I love the juxtaposition of the casual nature of the belt and fabric, paired with the more formal silhouette of the trousers. Oh, and did I mention they’re high waisted?

& Other Stories Oversized Wool Blend Sweater | Usually I wouldn’t make a beeline for knitwear that’s blended with synthetics, but I was drawn to this for a few reasons. The style reminds me a little of something you’d get from Raey, which on the premium end, is a little out of my “every day” budget. I clearly can’t get enough of light-colour knitwear. And, I loved the longer length with split hem.

& Other Stories Suede Almond Toe Sock Books | Clearly I’m not one for practicality when it comes to shoes. A good 40% or so of my shoe collection is suede, and despite being aware that it’s so much more high maintenance than leather, I still keep going back to it. One thing I’ve noticed over the last 12 months, is that my boot preferences have changed. I tend to favour a slim silhouette that goes up the calf (just enough), over anything that cuts off at the ankle. I like the height of these – both the profile and the heel – and the toe is more of an almond shape which I find to be universally flattering.

& Other Stories Fitted Wool Knitted Top | My final pick is this ribbed, fitted merino wool top (mostly as the linen shorts I like are all but sold out!). Good basics are the foundation of any wardrobe, and this is the ultimate layering piece. I like that you can add a subtle detail by having the sleeves poking out under a jacket or another sweater, as they have this sweet cabbage-style trim. It’s also nice enough to be worn on its own – love a good staple like that which is versatile enough to be worn multiple ways.

While we’ve been able to access a small selection from the brand via ASOS, I’ve found many of my favourites don’t tend to make it in their edit. I’d love to know if you’re planning to shop anything from & Other Stories, and if so, what’s on your wishlist?

      Hi Melody,

Thanks so much for your comment! Yes I have. I’ve placed a couple of orders now. There’s no additional tax charged (that I noticed), and shipping is free if you spend a certain amount. As an FYI both my orders were under $1000 AUD. Returns is very expensive however so I would only place an order if you’re certain about the items you’re buying xx

    Hi Jamie,
    What is the sizing like?
I’m super confused by the numbers, specifically for dresses/tops – goes from 32 – 44.
    Thank you!

It’s European sizing so a Eu36 is the equivalent of an AU8 if that helps. I usually opt for a 36. I find that it tends to fit me pretty well across the board xx
