After convincing myself that there was little chance of a terrible storm hitting Wellington, it did, and far worse than I had expected. A couple of years ago I was New York when Hurricane Irene hit, and I have to say, Hurricane Irene had nothing on our storm. So instead of going outside in bare legs, and as little layers as possible like the photo’s above might suggest, I’ve been scheming as to how I can add layers of warmth with singlets, merino and numerous pairs of tights, while still maintaining some sense of identity. I like the idea of attempting to keep a bit of sparkle though, either through gaudy looking earrings and chunky diamante laden necklaces, or via well-placed Swarovski crystals and metallic threads.
Ooh I’m loving this look ! Those heels are so fun!
And yowza, storms are never ever fun! Our last bad one was Hurricane Sandy…horrible!

Those heels are so good and I’m loving the detail of the ankle buckle! They’re like the perfect tan shade and compliment the soft tone of your sweater so well. Super chic babe and I’m glad you’re okay. Sounds like the storm was pretty bad.

Love this outfit, Jamie-Lee. I haven’t worn skirts in a while other than that 1 day when I finally got to put on my new IM skirt. I’ve heard about the crazy weather that has hit NZ. Stay warm.
hey love this outfit. I am about to buy the jumper 2night hopefully, can you please tell me what size is yours? I have a feeling they are oversized. thanks so much x
