There’s something about a white or cream lace dress that no matter how gorgeous it is, you just know it isn’t going to make it out of your closet very often. For me, it’s generally that bridal aspect that seems to be associated with both ivory and lace, and the fact that something so delicate quite often needs an occasion to wear it. I’ve had this ASOS lace dress a good two years now, and it’s probably only made it out of the closet four or five times, give or take, but it’s one of those things that I can’t bear to part with. Perhaps it’s the fact that my 80 year old grandmother lovingly took in it for me, or the multiple times that I refreshed the page after stumbling across it just to try and get one close enough to my size, or more likely, a combination of the two.
I’ve been enjoying having the extra day off over the Queen’s Birthday weekend, giving me that added opportunity to catch up on housework, cook some more vegan treats, and finally get around to seeing the third installment of the Hangover (which, average much?). Tomorrow, it’s back to the daily grind, but knowing that it’s a mere four days until the weekend instead of the usual five always puts a little extra bounce in my step.

It’s so pretty and delicate. I can see why you would hang on to this beauty. It may not make it out much, but when it does it looks gorgeous! I love how you’ve paired it with various colours too. It really gives it the modern touch.
