A Transitional Work Outfit

With rain expected to fall over the next week or so, it’s not yet time to pack away the winter knits or put those coats into hibernation, no matter how many times you try to remind yourself it’s spring. My winter uniform consisted mostly of oversized wool sweaters paired with slim-fitting jeans and a cute pump – a style uniform of sorts, but I’m ready to mix things up (just) a little bit as we navigate our way to spring. So I thought I’d share one of my quick go-to looks for a relaxed, but put together transitional work outfit.…

Everlane Boss Loafer Review

So, if there’s one thing I don’t really need more of in my wardrobe, it’s shoes. But, when you’re a shoe-obsessed fiend who is offered the opportunity to trial a pair you’ve had your eye on, you don’t say no. The shoes in question are the Everlane Boss Loafer; a chic pointed toe flat made from a supple Italian leather. Everlane’s boss boot just so happens to be one of my favourite options for the colder months, so I was pretty darn excited about this most recent iteration. Spring Wardrobe Investment Pieces

I’ve been talking a lot about being selective with your wardrobe additions; when it comes to a new season, I think it’s smarter to carefully invest in classic key styles rather than splash out on a whole new wardrobe full of trendy items. The white trouser / The first spring wardrobe staple I think is worth investing in is a…

How I know my wardrobe needs a refresh

As evidenced by the major wardrobe clear out I did over the long weekend, sometimes your closet just needs a bit of a refresh. For me, this meant going back to my roots and scaling my wardrobe down to a more minimal aesthetic in a colour palette of mostly black, grey, white and the odd neutral. Wearing Everlane stripe top, Frame denim skirt (similar option here), Everlane denim jacket (also love this option), Everlane v-heels, Phillip Lim pashli bag, Linjer watch, Mejuri earrings The above outfit is pretty reflective of what I’ve been wearing lately. A balanced silhouette, in black…

Closet Sale

With an extra day up my sleeve for the long weekend, I decided to spend yesterday afternoon trying on everything in my wardrobe, and setting aside anything that didn’t naturally fit in with my overall aesthetic. Safe to say, there were quite a few items that either felt a little ‘out of place’, or that I realised I hadn’t been really reaching for much at all. I’ve spent the better part of my Sunday photographing and drawing up items descriptions for an updated closet sale. No doubt there’ll be a few surprises, so if you’d like to check out what…
