Arket Review + Try On 2022

There are a handful of retailers that really seem to have a chokehold on me. Arket just so happens to be one of them. Something I put down to their heavy focus on effortless basics in (mostly) neutral hues. It’s approachable and their relaxed silhouettes feel effortless. My general experience has been that their items are good quality, and returns are usually just down to fit. Shopping online can be a bit of a gamble, and even if you’re a savvy/frequent online shopper, you’re still bound to make mistakes. Especially as you lack that tactile component, part and parcel of…

A Spring outfit

Radio silence the past couple of weeks aside – life just got in the way – I thought it was time I shared this very belated spring outfit, which I wore earlier in the month. This quite elegant pairing came at a time when I’d been feeling like my outfits had been lacking excitement. Fine, but to me they felt lacklustre. As though something was missing. Perhaps the joy of experimenting with style. Playing with proportion and shape in a way that personally seems interesting. Utilising textures that aren’t “cosy” to reflect the change in season. A week of work outfits

On Sunday night I shared a snappy little reel with five workwear outfits. All neutral-toned, and with staples in my closet that I consider elevated basics. I’ll never forget my first proper office job, where I felt that my outfits had to fit squarely within a particular box. The fitted pencil skirt, slim shirt (tucked with the top two buttons undone), and matching blazer. Alternatively a pant suit or sheath dress sufficed. Dressing squarely for what I felt was expected of me, rather than interpreting the dress code and how I can carry over elements of my personal style into…

OOTD: Re/Done tee with Witchery jeans & Tibi sandals

You’re probably already up-to-date with my recent outfits if you’re following me on Instagram. But I loved this simple spring look so much that I wanted to share it here, too. For me, the thing that really cinches it are the sandals. That sparkle, little bit of embellishment. Typically not a large part of my personal style repertoire, but it really helps to lift up and elevate this otherwise simple outfit. That, and the inclusion of texture through the bag. Wearing Re/Done tee (size S); Witchery jeans (size AU8); Tibi sandals (size EU40/old but similar here); O My Bag bucket…

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Blush Review

I was pretty intrigued when I saw that Laura Mercier’s most recent blush was not only a cream formula, but described as a “tinted moisturizer”. Both in my twenties and also now, I’ve always championed a less is more approach to my base, so love the concept of products which enhance rather than conceal. This seemed right up my alley. The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Blush comes in 14 shades (15ml) and retails for $28 USD / $45 AUD.  From left to right, I have the colours; Provence (pale pink nude), Corsica (sparkling peach), Mediterranee (pale coral nude), French Riviera…
