Uniqlo Review 2022: Try On and Wear & Tear Updates

My latest brand review on my YouTube channel is centred all around one of my affordable favourites for basics; Uniqlo. I’ve been shopping there for over a decade now, and over that time, figured out what I think is worth spending on, and which items I feel you can get better value for money elsewhere. It’s a mix of first impressions on the make, cut and quality of new styles, as well as reviews of the items which have held a longstanding spot in my closet. Hopefully, you’ll find these insights useful, for the next time you’re shopping there. I’ll…

A blue tonal OOTD

Filing this one under tonal outfits to recreate. Clearly having a bit of a moment with the colour blue, in desaturated – yet rich – tones. The only thing that really feels “out of the box” for me with this outfit is the colour combo. Which, if you’re opting to add in colour, is another tip. Go with items you know well and wear often. Styling 2022 Trends

Just because your closet leans on the more classic end of the spectrum, it doesn’t mean that you can’t – or don’t want to – participate in trends. Key to making this work for you, is identifying trends which are ultimately timeless, but just seem to be capturing the current fashion zeitgeist. If a trend could be trend-less, these would be them. From a personal perspective, these recall memories of the vintage era in the early days of blogging.…

Dopamine dressing has been one of the biggest trends of 2022, and I am here for it. But when your daily outfits revolve heavily around neutrals like mine do, it can feel a little out of the box to just throw on a statement accessory to “complete the look”. I’m fully aware this conundrum doesn’t apply to most. I mean, just wear the clothes, right? But, I thought if you’ve spent years resolving to branch out from a basic colour palette like I have, these simple tips might prove useful. Wearing Everlane alpaca knit sweater; Chanel brooch; FRONTROW nylon trousers…

A series of items I’ve been bookmarking lately

As far as my personal style journey goes, it feels like I’ve recently entered what I’d consider a “playful” era. In my twenties, I dialled back the total number of items in my closet to around 65-70. I spent time considering which core pieces most felt reflective of me. While simultaneously shedding my closet of any items that had serious spark or personality. It was classic. Reflecting back, it felt a little reminiscent of the types of items my mum was fond of. Funny that. My wish lists were purposeful. Each and every item I added to my closet was…
