Coastal Grandmother aesthetic

I recently shared a video where I chatted through the 2022 trends that I am loving, and the one I forgot to include? Any outfit that gives me coastal grandmother vibes. These two recent outfits, both lean heavily into that trend… even if I live a good 15 minute drive to the nearest beach. And despite it being early winter here in Sydney, I’m finding most days it’s still warm enough to get away with a maxi length dress with a cosy knit. Clearly, I’m taking full advantage. Probably one of the things that has me drawn to the trend…

New in my wardrobe: navy nylon trench

Ahh the old wardrobe wishlist. Once the cornerstone of all my sartorial purchases, these days it’s felt like a bit of a moving beast. Rolling in and out with the tide, as items I liked one month fall out of favour the next. Quite telling of the state of my closet, and that what’s on my wishlist these days is more of a “nice to have” than a “had to have”. Wearing Everlane air tee; Everlane barrel leg pants; Nilby P trench (use code ‘Mademoiselle2022’ for an additional 10% off sitewide); About Arianne pumps; Fendi bag; Monica Vinader hoops; Rosefield…

Low Buy 2022: May Check-In

Another month down, and another Low Buy update to share. One of the things I really picked up on in May was that I found myself scrolling less. Overall, there was just a lot less desire to look at stuff. And I think this is in part down to the fact that I’m now two months postpartum; that desire to shop and buy something that *actually* fits is gone (a huge trigger for me during both my pregnancies), and also, I just have a lot less free time to mindlessly scroll online. Wearing Jenni Kayne alpaca knit (15% off with…

Little tweaks to an outfit

I wanted to expand a little on an outfit side by side that I recently shared on Instagram. Which, side note, in my silence here is where you can see what I’ve been wearing daily. I wore the outfit on the left over the weekend; an easy neutral look which would feel right at home as part of my spring wardrobe. Hard to believe bare shoulders and sandals were still a possibility a few days out from the start of winter. That’s Sydney for you, I suppose! L: Uniqlo U knit tank (similar here & here); Urago trousers; Boden slides;…
