February Outfits of the Month

I thought we’d start off the week wrapping up some of my favourite outfits that I wore for the month of February. Similar to January, I’ve been putting a heavy focus on natural fibres. Wearing easy separates, or opting for a simple sun dress. Effortless dressing this time of year is key. Though it’s safe to say I’m hanging out for the opportunity to really start layering up at this point. As much as I love the summer months, it often feels a little lacking in the style stakes; I mean… a crop top or strappy cami and shorts starts…

Low Buy 2022: February Check-In

Another month done and dusted as part of my half-yearly low buy. My video update will be going live on my YouTube channel next Monday, if you’d prefer more of a chatty run through on how my month went.  Wearing Jenni Kayne alpaca knit; Facade Pattern trousers; Tibi coat (old); Oroton bag I have decided to make a few changes; instead of sharing everything I bought (ie. categories which aren’t part of my low buy) I’ll be focusing on fashion and beauty, along with how my month went and any learnings I made along the way about my personal habits…

Designer Dupes: YSL Tribute Slides & Gucci Jordaan Loafers

One thing I always – always – say is that you can find good quality at every price. And, I’m usually on a mission to figure out how to make my budget stretch further; whether that be by shopping pre-loved, hanging out for a sale, or trying to get the “look” for less. Today, I wanted to focus on the latter of the three. Getting the look for less. More specifically so, the designer look of the YSL Tribute Slides and the Gucci Jordaan Loafers. I own both pairs in my closet, so I thought it’d be useful to show…

Affordable Striped Sweaters

I’m not shy about my love for the marinere; or striped knit sweater. This particular “closet staple” because a wardrobe must-have during my early days of exploring my personal style; heavily influenced by listicles of what one would find in a “typical” Parisian wardrobe. And it’s endured, no matter what direction my style has shifted in. Modernised in some ways, but no matter the style or silhouette, even the most basic striped sweater feels current. Wearing H&M striped sweater (love this one too!); Everlane skinny jeans; Vaneli two tone pumps; Acne Studio mini musubi bag One of my personal favourites,…

Style updates for autumn

Last night, realisation set in that autumn is only a week away; at least by our Antipodean seasonal calendar. While I don’t expect temperatures to start cooling until sometime in late March or early April, my computer tabs would usually be heavy on autumnal pieces; chunky knits, new coats to lust after, black leather boots, scarves. Essentially my version of grasping at the opportunity to layer, well before it’s realistically feasible. Wearing Ceres Life knitted tee; Toteme jeans; Low Classic coat; autt bag; Linjer ring; About Arianne shoes Likely a side effect of my low buy, but I haven’t felt…
