Best of Beauty 2021

Just like I’ll reflect on my most worn, or wardrobe favourites of the year, I like to do the same with beauty. What was a good addition to my regular rotation? What wowed me? Were there any misses? Generally, it takes time to develop a firm stance on a product. So I make a point of trying to test each “new” addition for 3-4 weeks before concluding either way. The ones which make their way into my empties stash are either the best of the best, or products which passed the muster (but that I maybe wouldn’t repurchase). Today though,…

Boxing Day Sale Guide 2021

Currently in “recovery mode” from the feast that was Christmas Day lunch. Ours was a quiet one at home – just us three – though still felt every bit as special. I hope that however you chose to celebrate, your day was filled with making magical new memories, and much merriment. Earlier than ever, my inbox was filled with Boxing Day sale alerts beginning Christmas Eve. So I thought today, for those planning to mix a little R&R with some window shopping, I’d share a little Boxing Day Sale Guide. Wearing Sussan polka dot top; MVN the label skirt; Ceres…

Last minute “festive” outfit idea

Absolutely loved this look, and it occurred to me that it’s the ideal last minute outfit for the festive season. Or any season, really. Polished, chic, but playful. And all elements you probably already own in your wardrobe. Wearing Anna Quan blazer (affordable alternative); Commando faux leather pants; Ganni bow heels; Polene bag; Timeless Pearly earrings; Mejuri necklace Wearing a blazer as a top isn’t anything new; but… it’s a simple way to elevate a tailored trouser. Personally, I like to just wear a nice black bra underneath. One I wouldn’t be bothered about if someone caught a glimpse of…

Currently on countdown to summer break (and crossing fingers for more sunshine), and thought I’d share a few of my summer wardrobe staples that I’ve been wearing on repeat. I’ve found seasonally, I tend to gravitate towards a handful of staples. It’s what I’ve started to reflect on as being something of a capsule. Supplemented by bursts of colour, print, and the odd trend (when I finally decide to dip my toe in). This outfit encapsulates four key pieces I’ve been wearing a lot; naturally, felt like a good place to start. Wearing Tibi peplum top; Madewell shorts; Dune sandals;…

OOTD: Celebrating closet faves

One of those fail-safe outfit combinations you’ve seen me in many, many times before. But sharing as it’s still a favourite. The airy, cotton tee which I’ve worn on repeat the past couple of years; not just as a standalone, but as a layering piece too. The super oversized blazer which feels a little like a cocoon; its taupe brown hue is soft and versatile enough to pair with most things in my closet, but I love it best with a clean outfit like this one. The tapered straight leg jeans in an off-white; for me, a forever go-to, I…
