Summer wardrobe staples on repeat

Currently on countdown to summer break (and crossing fingers for more sunshine), and thought I’d share a few of my summer wardrobe staples that I’ve been wearing on repeat. I’ve found seasonally, I tend to gravitate towards a handful of staples. It’s what I’ve started to reflect on as being something of a capsule. Supplemented by bursts of colour, print, and the odd trend (when I finally decide to dip my toe in). This outfit encapsulates four key pieces I’ve been wearing a lot; naturally, felt like a good place to start. Wearing Tibi peplum top; Madewell shorts; Dune sandals;…

OOTD: Celebrating closet faves

One of those fail-safe outfit combinations you’ve seen me in many, many times before. But sharing as it’s still a favourite. The airy, cotton tee which I’ve worn on repeat the past couple of years; not just as a standalone, but as a layering piece too. The super oversized blazer which feels a little like a cocoon; its taupe brown hue is soft and versatile enough to pair with most things in my closet, but I love it best with a clean outfit like this one. The tapered straight leg jeans in an off-white; for me, a forever go-to, I…

Linen for summer

Kicking off the week with a quick OOTD. You’ll probably be well aware of my love of linen by now; for me, it has the ultimate “chill” factor come summer time. Breathable, breezy, and often in really relaxed silhouettes. Wearing COS linen shirt; Sussan linen trousers (currently 20% off); Spurr sandals (old but similar); Acne Studios mini musubi bag (first impressions/review here); Mejuri chain bracelet When the weather has allowed – it has been a wet start to the spring/summer season after all – I’ve been opting for a bit of a linen on linen moment. I find that I’m…

Festive Season Dressing Part II

As a little follow up to my previous post on festive season dressing, I wanted to chat a little about my philosophy around how I approach occasion wear. Unlike the basic tee, or the black blazer you wear on repeat, you’re probably not going to get an incredibly low CPW on these pieces. Which totally throws the balance off, am I right? Special occasion wear tends to sit on the more expensive end of the spectrum, despite having fewer chances to wear it. Wearing Oroton pink silk dress; Oroton bag; Linjer pearl earrings; Nyssa necklace; Monica Vinader bracelet (20% off…

Jenni Kayne Alpaca Cocoon Crewneck Review & First Impressions

I’m a little curious to know… did you end up buying anything from the Black Friday sales? You can take a little look back at what I purchased here. Perhaps the one piece I was most excited to see arrive, was this oversized knit; the Jenni Kayne Alpaca Cocoon Crewneck. Wearing Jenni Kayne Alpaca Cocoon Crewneck (in size S); Bec & Bridge slip skirt (old but similar); Vaneli two tone pumps; Louis Vuitton neverfull; Linjer earrings Given that I hadn’t really seen any reviews from shoppers based in Australia, it might be useful to put together a quick post chatting…
