Sezane Winter ’21 Collection – Top Five Picks

It’s been a hot minute since I last shared some of my favourite picks from Sezane. Truth be told I’ve been doing a lot less window shopping, and ever the temptress, I’ve not kept on top of the brand’s recent collections. But my interest was piqued when I caught a glimpse of the Sezane Winter ’21 collection. Autumn/Winter is when the brand really shines in my eyes, and I was excited to see what they had in store; mostly in case anything felt like a good fit for my A/W ’22 wardrobe. So as I’ve done previously, I’m going to…

Why style rules *aren’t* gospel

You’ve probably heard them all before. Don’t pair brown and black together. Wear something fitted on top with loose on bottom and vice versa. Avoid ankle straps as they’ll cut you off at the ankle. And of course, the list goes on. Wearing Everlane tie back top; Boden midi skirt; YSL tribute slides; Acne Studios mini musubi bag; & Other Stories sunglasses; Monica Vinader earrings, bracelet and signet ring (20% off with JAMIELEE20); Linjer watch For many years, I personally relied on style rules to guide the way I put together outfits. Especially during periods where I was trying to…

It’s in the details

You’ve probably heard me say this before, but the devil truly is in the details. On paper, this outfit is basic. A white tee, faded black jeans, and a trench. But take a closer look, and you’ll notice the little things. Like the pinched gathered detail around the collar of the trench, and lack of traditional lapel. The ballooned sleeves and contrast buttons. A mustard yellow lining. Layered rings stacked one on top of the other to create unusual shapes and dimension. The ‘C’ turn lock on the bag. Wearing Uniqlo U t-shirt; Everlane 90s cheeky jeans; Mute by JL…

Beauty Christmas Gift Guide 2021

With shipping delays and supply chain issues expected to continue for the remainder of the year, I thought I’d get a head start on Christmas gifting. Personally, I already started shopping a few weeks’ back (it’s not too early to be buying baubles, is it…?), squirrelling away gifts for our boy and his cousins so that Santa can get them under the tree in time. So I want to kick things off this year with a Beauty Christmas Gift Guide. I quite like to take the opportunity to “treat myself” when the holiday collections come out; so this particular guide?…

Creamy neutrals

Wearing Dissh strapless top (similar alternative); Arket cardigan; Theory leather pants (similar here); 3.1 by Phillip Lim bag; Mejuri necklace; Linjer rings Sharing a closer look at this creamy neutral-toned outfit combo. For me, this outfit incorporates a couple of surprising favourites. For one, the twisted strapless knit top. I coveted this the moment I saw it, but didn’t quite grasp how versatile it could be. Over the past fortnight of playing around with styling, I’ve found it to be really rather versatile. Dressed up, or dressed down – most effortlessly with a chunky or oversized knit. And the cardigan……
