Part two of my beauty gift guide for Christmas is centred all around skincare. There’s always an explosion of value sets out this time of year which give you incredible value for money. And, the chance to try out a good mix of products from one brand. I’ll always use this as an opportunity to test something new. My skin can be fickle, even at the best of times, so this is a great way to “try” before you invest.
I have a few I wanted to highlight before I share my gift guide, and let’s start with Necessaire (Use code MADEMOISELLEJAIME10 for 10% off). The brand offers value sets year round, and if you’re a fan of their products, I highly recommend taking advantage to make some savings. Their body oil is divine. I used this throughout my second pregnancy and love the dry oil formula. It doesn’t feel greasy at all, and being unscented won’t compete with any other fragranced products you’re applying.
I’ve also been using a little bit of Grown Alchemist in my routine; the cream cleanser is so gentle and soft, with a bright aroma. This gift set would be a great option if you’re wanting to try out a few products from the brand as part of your daily routine.
One of my all-time skincare loves is the Clarins Double Serum. Hydrating, and rooted in plant science, it’s effective but also gentle, even on sensitive skin like mine. It contains 21 plant extracts to target the signs of ageing (sign me up!). This set combines that hero Clarins product with two other beauties – the Multi-Active Day and Night Creams. These are creamy, nourishing, but don’t feel too rich. This trio is a match made in heaven.
Sunday Riley has well and truly cemented itself as one of my favourite skincare brands of all time. I’ve just finished up a tube of the Ceramic Slip Cleanser, and the Blue Moon Cleansing Balm is my go-to for eye makeup removal. Retinol is one of those magic ingredients that really packs a punch, and I loved this little Night ZZZs set which gives you the opportunity to try out three products from the brand’s retinoid range for rehydrating and smoothing the skin.
And of course I had to mention Biossance. Each product they release contains their hero ingredient – Squalane – which is naturally derived (and vegan!). This gives you an instant hydration hit and really helps to lock it in. The Miracle Moisture Set is a quartet of four of the brand’s hardest working hydrators. The Squalane and Vit C Rose Oil in particular is a cult favourite as it visibly brightens. Plus, it can be used to add some shine to the complexion for a natural glow.
