I’m sitting here, a day away from the end of 2020, and it occurred to me that I still hadn’t shared a wrap up of my spring most worn items. Whoops. I personally love reflecting on the season just been as it allows me to identify which items are key staples in my closet. Plus it gives me an opportunity to share a review on the quality over repeated wears. So for those of you who didn’t manage to catch it over on my YouTube Channel, you can check out my most worn for the spring season below.
SPRING MOST WORN ITEMS
Aje denim mini skirt (size AU8) | Pre-pregnancy I wore this denim skirt from ASOS on repeat. And as much as I still love it, it doesn’t fit me quite the same way it used to. Given I’ve long seen this as a wardrobe staple, I promptly went on the hunt for an alternative that I’d feel just as good in, and this Aje skirt ticked all the boxes. Flattering a-line silhouette, and that slightly distressed hem, which repeatedly pops up as a detail that I love. This is a great basic, and goes with everthing. No joke. I have noticed that the denim wash has faded a little since washing, but I do love that “lived in” look.
Arket off-white t-shirt (size S) | It doesn’t get more basic than a t-shirt, and in my efforts to find the “best” of the best, I bought this crew-neck from Arket. And you know what? It’s as good as I thought it would be. Super soft light cotton. Tucks well, and has a slight bit of structure but not too much. The off-white colour isn’t fully opaque so does need to be worn with a skin-coloured bra. Wears well, washes great. I have it in navy too – cannot fault it. Arket also sell a heavyweight version if you want something with a bit more heft to it.
Assembly Label linen trousers (size AU8) | There’s been a pretty monumental shift in my personal style post-baby. Most notably? My love for a lightweight and relaxed trouser. Preferably in linen. This pair from Assembly Label which I bought last June were the ones I found myself gravitating towards the most. They remind me in “chill” fabric. The washed linen is surprisingly easy to wear, and doesn’t crease up much at all. Not sure if that has anything to do with how often I’ve thrown these in the wash though. They come up large. I have the AU8 which fit more like an AU10 – plenty of room in the waist, making these the perfect postpartum trouser, or just a good option if you want something that isn’t going to be too snug.
& Other Stories oversized knit (size S) | The one item I was a little surprised to see make my most worn list? This oversized knit from & Other Stories. When it arrived in the post, I was a little unsure. Hesitant even, as to how much I would like it – or how much I would wear it. Safe to say I can squash those concerns. The moment I made the conscious decision to incorporate into my outfits, I realised just how much I enjoyed wearing it. I felt good in it, and I loved how it created some serious shape with my outfits. One thing to note? It does pill – so you’ll want to have a fabric shaver or wool comb for maintenance.
Madewell skinny jeans (size 25) | A regular feature in my last two most worn round ups have been these skinny jeans from Madewell. This is a silhouette I’ve been wearing since my teens, and it’s still a huge part of my style uniform. I’ve been well impressed by the quality of Madewell denim – enough to want to shop more from the brand – and I love both the wash and cropped length on these. They’ve been a great all rounder, and so easy to style too. The distressed hemline is a bit of fun as well.
Jane Debster slides (size AU9) | If you’ve been here for a while, then no doubt you’ll have heard me mention my Jane Debster slides. I bought these a few summers back as an affordable alternative to the YSL Nu Pieds. While I’ve since gone on to splurge on the designer version, I still love and reach for the JD ones even more. The colour is warm, and adds so much to my outfits, and they’re comfortable to boot. A great, classic all rounder. If you love this style but want something with a low heel, then I can’t recommend these more. Very comfortable, and I love the little bit of height they add!
Birkenstock EVA Arizona slides (size EU40) | My other most worn shoe for spring were my Birks. No surprises here as they featured in my Spring capsule, plus are just an easy shoe to slip on. While I love the way they look, and find them reasonably comfortable… there is a but. I find that the more I reach for them – and if I do so o consecutive days – the firm material of the shoe applies a bit too much pressure across the bridge of my foot. Effectively causing some light (non-visible) bruising. In hindsight, I would have been better off getting the suede or leather version. I still wear them, but tend to do so more sparingly.
Celine trio (dove grey, small in goat leather) | The final most worn item for spring is my Celine trio. I dragged this bag a few years ago when talking through my designer bags I sold and why. And have to admit, I’ve since come to “eat my words”. My previous trio was delicate calf leather, and had issues with one of the press studs for the strap falling off. I’ve also heard “horror” stories from other women whose bags have split, the straps have fallen off, or the snaps holding each “pouch” together have been so loose that the slightest bump could cause one to fly off. Thankfully, my experience with this pre-loved goat leather trio has been all positive. I bought it with (barely visible) scratches on the front so I’ve not been precious with it, and it’s not shown a single additional sign of wear. My son gnaws on the strap if he spies it on the floor. For me, it’s the functionality. The perfect size for every day, and it fits all my daily essentials without feeling like I’ve overloaded my bag. And it’s taught me a valuable lesson; expensive handbag purchases should largely be determined by lifestyle.
Usually I’ll end things with some seasonal observations, but I think I might save those for my 2020 most worn reflections. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year! xx
You have introduced me to so many different styles and brands so thank you for this spring most worn items for 2020.
What resonates with me the most is your comment of “expensive handbag purchases should large be determined by lifestyle”. This will be my take home message for 2021, along side another one of your take home message of the 30 day rule which I applied very successfully in 2020.
Thankyou again for the effort you put into those blogs. It’s very much appreciated.

You’re welcome Leanne – so glad that you find these useful and that they’ve helped you on your own style journey.
And gosh tell me about it. You’d think it would be such an obvious determining factor, but it’s really something I’ve started to consider much more 🙂
Jaime, I love that white top you’re wearing in the last picture with the jeans. Can you tell me who makes it/where to get it?
Love your content. <3

Hi Cathy! I actually don’t remember the site as it was a random one, but I wouldn’t recommend them. The shipping experience was weird and long… That said, I’ve seen similar options on The Iconic – ARIS I believe the brand is called, does a similar style. I’ve tried the tank and it fits large so I’d recommend sizing down. HTH x
