RUBY Frances Star mini dress, Teddy Blake Rachel mini bag (love this option & this is also cute!), Givenchy sequinned heels (these are a great alternative)
Prints have been making a comeback in my wardrobe, in a major way, and lately, all I’ve been seeing is stars.
I was lucky enough to get to pack this starry beauty in my suitcase for my (not-so)-recent trip to Italy and the United States and I have to say, this dress had me at hello. Asymmetrical hem? Check. Gold embroidered stars? Check. Perfect for day or night? Check.
I pulled this out on one of our final nights in Italy, as we roamed the cobblestone-lined streets of Florence in search of homemade pasta and a refreshing aperol spritz. It’s one of those pieces that makes a statement by itself, thought I love the idea of layering it over a skivvy with tights to transition into Summer, or with a simple pair of cons for everyday.
Because I pretty much have a one-track mind, I’ve been practically obsessing over its star-sprinkled sister, the Frances mini skirt. I’m sure I’m not on my own when I saw it looks like the perfect summer mini skirt – with a sweet little twist.
I love the asymmetric hem! The dress is so unconventional – I love it!

Would this work in a capsule wardrobe?

Hi Katie, yes definitely think you could wear a piece like that as part of a capsule wardrobe. Dresses tend to have less “styling” possibilities than separates but I personally think there’s nothing wrong with repeating an item, and if you love the style and it works with your other capsule pieces, then go for it! x
