A little peek into the core of my summer capsule wardrobe for 22/23. There’s been a major shift in the way I think about capsules, dressing for the season ahead, and having a style uniform. Perhaps evident in my language over recent months. But for me, it’s all about getting a laser focus on the fundamentals; the core building blocks of what you’re planning to wear. Essentially the direction your style will take for the next few months. From there, bringing in other items I own which fit the “vibe”, as complements. Supporting actors, if you will. Whereas the concept or notion of a capsule wardrobe is typically quite rigid, this feels fluid. More reflective of how we interact with our clothing, and perhaps a reminder that sometimes we don’t need to put a label on something.
But for all intents and purposes, a summer capsule it is. You can watch the video above to see all the items in action, and I’ve listed them below. Some old favourites, along with some newer items, in particular a renewed focus on trying to bring in more Australian or local brands.
