I’m wrapping up my essentials series by talking about the classic trench coat. It’s the epitome of Parisian chic – and who doesn’t want to dress like a Parisian? – and one of those pieces which crops up time and time again when it comes to talking about wardrobe essentials.
My current favourite is from Everlane; it’s a little slouchier than I’d typically go for (tip: size down when buying Everlane’s trench – you’ll thank me for it), but I find that it’s just so effortless and easy to throw on over any outfit, worn open and loose or tied up with a bow at the waist.
Sydney doesn’t get too cold in the wintertime so this works incredibly well as a transitional piece that will see me right through those cooler months, when worn with a big fuzzy sweater underneath.
If you’d like to see some of the ways that I like to style my trench (and let’s start off by saying, it’s a jacket, so it’s a complete no brainer), then you can check out my latest video here.
With my essentials series done and dusted, I’m looking to start placing more of a focus on the working wardrobe, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
