Three Pinterest Outfits Inspiring Me Lately

Minimal outfit warm neutrals worn head to toe

When I’m not wearing loungewear, my outfits of late have been centred around a mix of my staple denim, and long slip skirts; a pretty clear sign that autumn has well and truly arrived. It’s not quite cold enough for chunky knit sweaters on the daily, but our house is pretty draughty, so usually I’ll throw one on anyway just to keep warm.

When I’ve had a spare moment, I’ll quickly hop onto Pinterest to have a little browse. The sleep deficit has been hitting me hard, and it’s been the inspiration I need to keep my outfit combinations from feeling stale.

I thought today I’d round up three outfits that have really inspired me recently. All of these looks are ones that I could easily replicate with items in my own wardrobe – no need to buy anything new!

01 | Warm neutrals

Warmer hues have slowly been creeping into my closet – the boldest of the bunch being these trousers from Arket – and I’m loving the shift for autumn. I’ve been sharing a lot of head-to-toe neutral outfits over on my Instagram, and this is one of those easy-going kinds of looks I’d love to replicate using items from my own closet. I’d probably swap out the ballet flats for a low heeled pointed toe pump, but otherwise I already have a lot of these elements in my closet. Toffee-toned trousers? Check. Snuggly alpaca knit? Check. Beige draped trench coat? Check, check and check.

02 | Black basics with tailoring

It’s a little hard to feel motivated to wear any kind of tailoring right now. Most days that I’m working I am usually wearing our son in the Baby Bjorn, and a blazer doesn’t look cute over the top of that. But I do really love the elements of this outfit, and it’s one I’m banking for later. In the meantime, I’ll be opting for a similar look, just with a black cardigan over top (and black flats!). You’ve heard it countless times from me, but monochrome truly is the simplest step to building a chic outfit. And then, it’s all in the details. Choosing different textures adds depth, and I love the frayed hem on the jeans. The outfit is belted at the waist which adds balance and definition, and her hair is worn up to really put the focus on the outfit.

03 | A little ladylike

The final outfit that’s really inspired my autumn wardrobe is this cosy feminine look. As I mentioned earlier, I’m loving my slip skirts lately, and to make them seasonally appropriate, I’ve been opting to pair the slinky silhouette with a something equally loose on top. The snugglier the better. While I don’t have quite the exact same elements in my closet, I have the bones of this look; the focal piece being a long neutral-toned slip skirt. The outfit might be simplistic, but it doesn’t feel boring. And somehow, I think that’s down to the styling, and the addition of a colourful bag.
